Re: Friday Facts #389 - Train control improvements
About the auto coloring based on destination. I would like to see the option to alternatively give the train group a color, because with auto coloring based on destination all trains going to or being in the depot would have the depot train station color, which makes them not distinguishable. It wou...

Re: Friday Facts #269 - Roadmap update & Transport belt perspective
Some of my thoughts if you'll have them regarding the belts: They do look to be too tall now. Inserters just shrunk. Therefore in the curves, when the belt goes from vertical to horizontal, I feel that the understructure comes out too much. The sideloading has to be even-leveled. Otherwise you could...

Re: Friday Facts #249 - Dead end exploration
Just some notes on proposal #4 (sorry if somebody has mentioned that already): First of all I thought the decision to change the quickbar to only contain shortcurts to items was a done deal? I would really like that regardless of the blueprints. Anyway, if the quickbar/action bars are shared between...

Re: Friday Facts #224 - Bots versus belts
When I read "Removing logistics bots from the game" I was getting torch and pitchfork ready. :D My opinions on the belt vs bots matter: Personally I use belts inside the factory as much as possible. Only where it would be an absolute nightmare to funnel in some required items from the waaa...

Re: Friday Facts #212 - The GUI update (Part 1)
Sorry if somebody has already suggested this, but it would be nice if you could save some color presets for the locomotives (and other colorable entities). For example my iron ore trains all are colored in some blueish color, if i create a new train i have to remember the RGB values of that color. (...

Missing walls on minimap
Hello, I have found that some walls are missing on the minimap. The outpost is fully encased by walls, but the minimap doesn't show it. bugreport_minimap.png If you need the save please see my other bugreport. It is attached there. https://forums.factorio.com/viewtopic.php?f=47&t=50481 Thank you!

Re: Burner inserter coal but no power
i tested this, and a fully loaded belt with half coal, and half ammo they do run out of fuel. Right they DO run out of fuel. Sorry I've read what I expected to read. Well you are right in a way. I've tested it now. The problem is that the second burner inserter sees the ammo first because the first...

Re: Burner inserter coal but no power
the shorter path should be the coal. i tested this, and a fully loaded belt with half coal, and half ammo they do run out of fuel. best to fuel the inserters first. add coal to the belt first, then the ammo once the inserters are fueled. then you should have no problem. provided you have enough coa...

Re: Burner inserter coal but no power
Well I can't think of a way to ensure coal is always available as well except putting some circuit logic after every 4th or so burner inserter and stop the belt if there is a shortage. This would be very cumbersome. :? Thinking about it, not even that holds true. Would have to clear the belt of exi...

Re: Burner inserter coal but no power
Oh, I've tried the search, but it was impossible to find. At least not in a timely manner. But why wouldn't you consider this a bug? Inserters getting themselves stuck to a point where you have to manually rebuild them can't be normal. This way burner inserters are more or less useless if you can't ...

Shift build rails with robots
Hello, I don't know if this is considered a bug, but since everything else works this way I'll post it here. If you have a personal roboport you can let the robots build via holding the Shift key and then clicking the build mouse button (in my case right click). This is nice if there are trees/rocks...

Re: Burner inserter coal but no power
i don't see any coal on the belt. it should be full of coal (preferably on the inside) I've just set it up and the little coal I've loaded on the belt had already passed in the screenshot. This inserter took a piece, but started taking the ammo first because I've loaded it first on the belt. (Yes, ...

Train jumps on minimap - Minor graphical glitch
Hello, I've found a very minor graphical problem. If you run vertically up and down (north-south) then all horizontal train jump up and down one pixel on the track line on the minimap. The same happens east-west with vertical trains. See pink squared in train in screenshot. If you run up and down no...

Burner inserter coal but no power
Hello, I've tried to build a defense with gun turrents reloaded by burner inserters from a mixed ammo/coal belt. The problem is that the burner inserters initially have some power and start moving items. Any item. In my case those were the bullet magazines. So the inserters just run out of fuel and ...

Re: Splitter only splitting to one side
Thanks. IMHO that "splitting" doesn't make sense, but nothing I can do about it. Edit: By that explanation you should, if you have a mixed belt (different item per belt side), get only one side of item type 1, and the other filled with item type 2. But in that case the items get split as e...

Splitter only splitting to one side
Hello, I am not sure if this is a bug or intended behaviour. At least I always thought splitters should just split the belt, and not change the side items are on the belt. See the screenshot with the marked splitter. Only the outer sides get copper plates. The inner sides only get filled when the li...
