Re: Friday Facts #392 - Parametrised blueprints
A really nice feature! I have one feature request though to help with UX: Instead of a fixed number of signals from 0-9 I would recommend a tag/name based system. I envision that the system you presented would quickly run into a bottleneck of insufficient number of parameters, for beginners and adva...

Re: Friday Facts #390 - Noise expressions 2.0
As for tools for visualizing: are you aware of the existence of the Dear ImGui ? If you are using it, that's great! If you are not — both you and all the modders could be interested! As for noise expression - I am not quite sure I understand the need for the "noise expression engine" altog...

Re: Friday Facts #388 - Smaller things for 2.0
A slider wouldn't be able to achieve the same thing as S suffix, because "4*12" would mean "4 stacks * 12 stacks" which is equal to... 48 stacks² ??? ... which is not useful at all (probably), unlike "4*12S" which means exactly 4 times 12 stacks. If units worked like mu...

Re: Friday Facts #389 - Train control improvements
Nice additions! One thing I would love to be added to the game is the ability to change the station in the scheduler without having to recreate the whole schedule. [...] Highly agreed, The inability to change the selected station and duplicate them makes creating and editing repetitive conditions r...

Nice! Now it remains to improve the most important part of the Factorio gameplay (Quality of Life): convenient and fast construction of conveyors using automatic rotation of the conveyor towards the cursor, as is implemented in Mindustry. Or assign a key to change the operating mode (improving R). ...

Re: Friday Facts #388 - Smaller things for 2.0
I wonder why you didn't go one step further with visualizing the max belt range. While hovering in the range of the matched underground belt, display BOTH max range (blue or could be yellow) and selected range (green) if the belt was placed where hovering (green). See the image. With what you have n...

Yeaaah, nice big bulky machines, they fit perfectly, really like the foundry idea! On another note of feedback — have you noticed that (all) mining drill's digging sound is very dull and almost as if it were of a low quality??? Almost as if it was recorded with low quality microphone. It is pretty a...

This is nice and all... but does this FINALLY give us a way to 'sanitize' our inputs? [...] Yeah, I would really like see the "filter" functionality in the selector combinator. You would select a bunch of signals (like you do in the constant combinator) and you could turn it into a whitel...

At least, the combinators of the XXI century :P Is it possible to send output signal only to specified network color? I see we can compare or send input count value from selected inputs, but there seems to be no selection on which output to put a signal to. I am for example thinking about a case whe...

I haven't missed the new combinators, this time no way to mistake the orange triangle for an inserter claw, it look like it is reducing something, maybe a filter combinator ? Hmm, I find the weight limit quite weird, considering that a player character can carry a bunch of locomotives, reactors, several stacks of ore and a tank in his pockets. Logistic bot carrying a reactor and placing it just like that xD. Also seems like shoehorning a whole weight system just for a si...

Hmm... The surface texture of the platform seems a bit noisy and quite hard to look at. It's all blending into one mosaic with other entities on the platform due to all those small bits and pieces on the surface. It's pretty hard to tell where the entity begins and where it ends https://i.imgur.com/...

Great update, Just wanted to point out that color blindness is a common issue. 1 in 12 men and 1 in 200 women are color blind. It would be nice to see some entity sprite variations that don't rely solely on color. Specifically for chests, but would also be nice for assemblers, belts, splitters and s...

Any news of changes for modding API of wire connectors or more entities with connection support (pipes, assemblers)?

I just hope for 3* things with this update: - a filter for blueprints and deconstruction planner for selecting top/bottom layer of rails only - some toggle that will allow us to see through the top layer and interact with the entities underneath - this: https://mods.factorio.com/mod/rail-decon-plann...
