I think most people would be fine with a single button "Separate Tanks".
So we get a 1-1-1 separation. 2-1 or 1-2 can be done manually.

It seems the map generator will try to put some of every resource in the starting area, but the starting lakes generate on top of the resources a lot of the time, resulting in bad starting positions.
Or maybe reduce the starting water to a tiny lake that wont interfere with the resources so much.

I think inserters are an important part of Factorio and loaders would be a bad idea.

What if you could store the energy for only 1 or 2 nights. e.g remove accus and use hot water storage from solar-thermal or electric water heaters for the storage. Water cools down slowly.
