After the 6th launch I finally got a guide drone. Roughly speaking, going off the info you provided that was a .0014 chance of happening (1/3)^6. Nothing like starting off with bad variance, though this is an interesting game mechanic. Thanks!

There isn't a 100% chance. The odds add up to 100%, but are independent of one another. There's a chance you could get unlucky on each independent roll and get nothing. There's also a chance you could get very lucky and get all of them. There's a 1% chance that your very first asteroid miner gets ...

Nullius, latest patch broke Asteroid Mining?
I launched my first ever asteroid miner in a rocket and got nothing. Double checked the silo, insertor, and chest. I launched a second one and again nothing. I'm assuming there's a 100% chance to get one of the six resource guide drones?

I selected metachemoinformatics to improve productivity of my research centers. The trick is I only get the bonus effect on certain recipes. I get the bonus for pyscience but I don't get it for red, blue, or green science. Tried reconstructing the research center and as soon as I select these ...

You have to be careful to not to put in too many of them - or the whole system will lock up !
For simple 2-machine setups I use a rule of thumb of "two items worth of production for the main building, one worth for the recycler".
(However, sometimes I still find my cooling towers to lock up ...

Thanks, I'll try to get a big screenshot tonight (trying to see what's the best method, console or via a mod).

Drilling Fluid Type
Hi all,
I have drilling fluid type 4 connected to a medium oil derrick but for some reason the drilling fluid type 1 icon shows on the derrick. This happened with df2 and df3 too but I finally decided to post to see if it's proper or I'm doing something wrong. Thanks!
