Re: Friday Facts #436 - Lost in Translation

Just throwing out there that I work for a company that specializes in document search, so I have a lot of experience in dealing with collation/tokenization/stemming. You definitely want to use a mature library instead of rolling your own because there are so many edge cases and gotchas.

Re: Ability to craft lower quality with higher quality

Came here to give this exact feedback. I spent a long time building a branch of my factory to make higher quality modules and was really proud of it only to find when it backed up, my entire factory came to a screeching halt because either the splitter downstream of the furnaces would clog up or the...

Re: [1.1.72] Crash when taking iron ore out of a furnace

Quick update: I've confirmed this is reproducible on multiple saves and different machines. It only happens when the following conditions are met: - The furnace is completely full of ash (1k ash) and paused due to this condition - There is fuel and enough ore in the furnace to begin a new production...

[1.1.72] Crash when taking iron ore out of a furnace

This is a modded save with Py and some QoL mods. There is a consistent and reproduceable crash when taking iron ore out of a furnace. To reproduce: - Load save - Open furnace next to player (should have 50 iron ore in it) - Shift-click to remove ore from furnace - Game crashes Removing the ash first...
