Re: Friday Facts #422 - Tesla Turret
Great to see more turrets and weapons. Great work! Hopefully there are even more new turrets and special enemies with different skills and resistances. I love this so much, but I'm in mourning over the first concept not becoming the final design - it's absolutely gorgeous and just conveys "puni...

Re: Friday Facts #420 - Fusion Reactor
First of all, the positive points. The design is once again fantastic! I like the style and I'm excited about a new way to generate electricity. Building nuclear power plants and enriching uranium has always been one of my favorite things to do. Even though the optimal control of chemical production...

These are my most negative changes: 1. Quality 2. Fluid 3. Inserter These are my most negative changes: 1. Fluid 2. Quality 3. Inserter Order is different but the list is the same. My top negative is Fluid without flow. The fluid change would also be number one for me, considering that I would have...

Re: Friday Facts #419 - Display Panel & Inserter pickup fixes
Unfortunately, this is one of the changes that I would have to rate as negative.
It is my third most negative change!
These are my most negative changes:
1. Quality
2. Fluid
3. Inserter
My favourite changes:
1. New Enemies
2. New Planets
3. More control options

Re: Friday Facts #419 - Display Panel & Inserter pickup fixes
I dont think that "fix inserters" is somewhat positive. I see it natural tha slow inserter, burner, has issues on fast belt. It is not bug it is intended feature. Fixining it means, cut out some challenge, it is a bit like, "fixing fluids" by cut out flow. It is easyer, but .......

Re: Friday Facts #416 - Fluids 2.0
As an engineer and simulation specialist for thermal systems, I am sad about this change. From my point of view, the fluid system, as bad as it may be, was/is the only part of the game that actually deals with engineering tasks. The rest of the game only creates logistical problems. Even if only ve...

Re: Friday Facts #416 - Fluids 2.0
actually deals with engineering tasks. The most complex engineering task, "produce more than you consume, slap on a pump every two pipes"? :D All those "hardcore" players, hardcorly placing pumps, surreal I like to use pumps. But I also like not have to use too many. In 1.1 the ...

Re: Friday Facts #410 - Rocket turret & Target priorities
On the other hand - in 3k hours I never found mines to be useful - a mine layer tower with drone like in Riftbreaker would be so cool (but should immerdialty hide if enemy are approaching) I've thought the same thing for a long time, but if you play on very hard difficulty levels, it can still make...

Re: Friday Facts #410 - Rocket turret & Target priorities
Great! I would also be happy about more towers. Conon towers and shotgun towers would be ok, but they already existed in mods. Krastorio has the best towers. Turrets with different behavior would be great. For example, if they took longer to get ready to fire, or if they rotated slower or faster. Th...

Re: Friday Facts #377 - New new rails
Very cool! I'm glad about the new options and the prettier rail! Very good work! It always annoyed me that the distance between the rails had to be so large. :D But I also like right angles and I'm afraid that I have to straighten the crooked rails of my friends constantly. :? Note: Multi-level item...

Re: Friday Facts #375 - Quality
I have now slept one night. Slept badly. The planned feature kept me awake all night. I would like to say here that Factorio is my favorite game and I have great respect for the work and ideas that have led to this game. Things I love about Factorio: In each stage of development you have a different...

Re: Friday Facts #375 - Quality
People are way too upset about this quality feature, but are forgetting that it's an optional mechanic. If you don't like it, you don't have to do it. Except it's an opportunity cost in terms of game features. They spend a bunch of time adding an optional feature I won't be using instead of spendin...

Re: Friday Facts #375 - Quality
In process engineering there are also often circular processes in which the degree of purity of a substance is increased. The reduction of the impurity of the desired substance is therefore the goal of many real processes. A multistage chemical reactor in continuous or batch operation always has a p...

Re: Friday Facts #375 - Quality
What happens if you craft something using different quality ingredients? Would your output quality be the minimum input quality, the maximum input quality, or some weighted average of the input qualities? As I understand it, there is a probability for each quality level. Each basic material of high...

Re: Friday Facts #375 - Quality
I am afraid! There are many things that disappointed me: 1. So far, each item had its own appearance and special function. Red arms grab objects further away. Blue ones are faster. The quality levels only change values but not functionality or visual appearance. Complexity without new game mechanics...

You should check the game Oxygen Not Included I did. The game looks interesting, thanks for the tip. But I don't like the graphic style, too cute and not technical enough! Even if it is pretty in and many like that for sure. Also, there are citizens with abilities. So it is a society simulation wit...
