Re: Stop Blueprints escaping their Books
I feel like everyone doesn't actually understand how to select things in the book correctly... everyone knows you can hold it in the world and scroll through it right? Seeing the live selected blueprint as the preview in the world without having the GUI open? Sorry but that sentence seems a bit con...

0.15.18 Tutorials crash with mods
I posted on the mods discussion page that is generating this error, but I'm posting here as I'm guessing it might be a larger issue with mods interacting with the tutorials in unexpected ways. To reproduce just down the mod https://mods.factorio.com/mods/ananyzyr/SkipSpaghettiPhase Error while runni...

Re: Stop Blueprints escaping their Books
Blueprint Books are useful, however I rarely scroll though them, instead I open them, and just select what I need. Simply put: you're using the book wrong. You're meant to scroll through them. Opening the book is the way of adding or removing blueprints from the book and is not the normal way you s...

Re: [Request] Large Power Provider [with graphics please]
Last I heard, huge coverage from power poles would cause massive performance hits. I have a mod that effectively places power poles under entities, if that sounds like a close enough solution to your problem. https://mods.factorio.com/mods/DedlySpyder/Powered_Entities That looks cool, any ideas if ...

Re: I really want to like this game....
Im curious how he got through minecraft without forums, videos, etc... or just plugging in hours. Curious? I'm out right puzzled, a browser window open on the Wiki, another on Youtube looking at various HowTo's or Lets Plays are until the yet to be released 1.12 version of MC the only way to play w...

Re: Command to pick up all items on floor
Then how did you get thousands of items? Your player inventory can only hold a few hundred... Suppose the easiest way then is to hold the ground pickup (default "F") and run around to vacuum up the items. Using Angels mod Warehouse, broke it thinking it was empty, boom 38000 items on the ...

Re: Command to pick up all items on floor
not that far into the game.
Although, yeah, autosave, perhaps, hadn't thought about that, and been in game for a while looking for a solution, will check to see if one goes back far enough.

Command to pick up all items on floor
I did a stupid thing, and now there are thousands upon thousand of items on the floor all over my base.
I need a command to pick them all up, or if needs be, a command to despawn them.
Anyone can help me with this?

Steam engine vs Steam Turbine
Can a Steam Turbine work using steam from a boiler? Also, is there any efficiency difference between a Steam engine and a Steam Turbine? My maths, which could very easily be wrong, says a Engine produces 5.4545 KW per degree of heat, and a Turbine produces 4.8KW, but I've read in other posts they pr...

OK, wow, didn't even know there was a page on the mods site to discuss problems but as soon as I found it, I saw other were a) having the same problem b) it was fixed a few hours back.

Mod bug reports! Where?
OK I've searched at some length, but I can't find rules that direct me, nor a sub forum area that seems to fit, I can't find a thread from the author of the mod about the mod, the bugs section of the forum seems to be limited to vanilla game bugs not mods bugs... so where do I report and hopefully g...

Re: 0.15.x Steam Power layouts
This is my first go at a 0.15.x powergen layout, I've built it inside a Mk1 Factorissimo2 factory building, I will expand on the design when I get access to the later game factories.

0.15.x Steam Power layouts
Trying to get my head around the new Boilers and Steam Engines, and trying to figure out effective layouts, but there doesn't seem much info out there, Goolgling for stuff just brings me endless now unhelpful ideas about how it all worked in 0.14.x and before. The wiki is no help, it's still very 0....

Oh cool, thanks, yes for the most part its the pollution on the minimap that annoys me.daniel34 wrote:If it's only the pollution on the minimap that's bothering you, just disable Options --> Graphics --> Show pollution on minimap when detailed info is on (doesn't work on the big map)
