I guess this limit is a design decision, forcing players to build self sustaining platforms. Otherwise one can just build huge manufacturing, refueling hubs over each planet and transfer resources to the cargo space platforms (spaceships now).
Space Exploration did this quite well...

You are kinda right. You don't NEED it. By that account you don't NEED Quality to finish the game. It is optional. No idea what would make your life better.

There is a lot of discussion going on about this.
I somewhat agree that Epic and Legendary techs are being quite late into the game and only become usable with endgame setups of endless recycling.
That point you only use legendary to maximize your factory, which is not everyone's cup of tea. I can ...

I support this. It would be a nice feature.
I struggled a bit when upgrading from rod to attractor and when trying to maximize the coverage with minimal rods, since I used quality items which were limited.

Messing with belts this way is close to impossible, I think.
That would impact performance too much.
Pipes, not sure.
If some of these became changeable by quality, that would add a ton of extra calculation requirements.
Tiles are somewhat the same, though probably doable, that *5 per tileset. Don't ...

I loved Fugora's atmosphere the moment I arrived. The darkness, the music, the desolation, the scrap.
I hope they don't change that with enemy activity.

There are some rough edges here and there, but the expansion so far has been amazing. I just settled down on Fugora after Vulcanus, but already loving it. The atmosphere, music, the different factory building challenges and even the rewards.

Destroyed space platform parts could be added in as well.
Or the occasional scrap, ancient satellites around Fugora.

Though I understand if they would want to keep the "space biome" resources fixed and not complicate it further.

Nice idea! Would make planning and playing around with setups way easier.
Now I have to use a mod or reload a bit to avoid the mess the autobuild creates.

Good to hear this is on the list of future implementation already.
With so many items now having multiple built-in functions that reads and sends, it will be nice to be able to do both!

I have the same issue. This would be a nice feature.

My current solution:
All mining outposts have a filter splitter line that redirects all the above common quality ores into a mini train station.
That station activates if enough ore gathered, a specific train comes and picks it all up, and leaves ...

I support the idea for the Epic and Legendary Tech to not be planet specific researches.
It even makes sense, the more you learn about production (Foundry, Electromagnetism, Biochemistry) the higher quality your production.
