Re: Friday Facts #266 - Cleanup of mechanics

This is the most concerning FFF I have read yet. As I recall, the lesson of red science was "hey, sometimes you have to build intermediate products. Green science teaches you that 1: some items are large and have many parts, and therefore cost more to make/take more time, and 2: research priori...

Re: Friday Facts #249 - Dead end exploration

I would suggest a modified version of proposal #1, in which next to the 10 Hotbar slots( implemented however y'all see fit) there was two more slots, one triggered with the "B button, and the other (for deconstruction) triggered with, say, SHIFT+B or the like. Upon pressing B, the most recently...

Re: Friday Facts #237 - Rich & interactive text

I second TuckJohn's request. A GUI menu, accessible via hotkey combination and/or on-screen GUI section, which has various icon selection would be useful. To that end, it might be worthwhile to adjust the location/functionality of the console, perhaps to an optionally-persistent GUI window (i'm thin...

Hey Bobingabout, just wanted to stop by and say thank you for your patience with our community. Your mods are a mainstay, an anchor point in the modding community, and we treasure you and your work immensely; Factorio would not be the same without you. Unfortunately, there are some of us whose admir...

Re: Fluid physics (fix bizarreness, no extra calculation)

I'm hardly one to be able to talk, but it sounds as though the problem lies in "we are using this method as a kludge for computational efficiency" and many folks are complaining about the kludge, correct? Maybe it would be helpful to have an example of the efficiency saved/lost for each mo...

Re: Friday Facts #168 - Nightvision Nightmare

I suppose the question comes down to what effect you are attempting to create. Seeing as we play from a third person perspective, I always thought it was "hokey" to have the entire world change color at night- if i can't target enemies with a laser turret on the far ends of the map, why in...

Re: Late Game Rocket Planning Spreadsheet

Deciding it would be of more help to decipher where the issue was myself, rather than laying it upon someone else's mercy to do so, i discovered that most of the errors were coming from the math being done for solar panels and accumulators- the equations taking "(number of items needed for satt...

Re: Late Game Rocket Planning Spreadsheet

This is absolutely lovely, but for some reason (see: i have issues with wanting to do things no computer could likely handle) it has problems about, say, 100 silos. While i'm sure i'm wayyyy overestimating my UPS/FPS, i'd love to see, just for fun's sake, what i would need in order to do quicker lau...

Re: Crash on window resize

Oh! Hey! nevermind, i found the issue- maybe this will resolve it for other users.

It turns out i ALSO had an instance of Discord running a chat overlay on my window- i'm so used to seeing it it didn't register- but disabling the overlay seemed to work.

Crash on window resize

Hello, i'm using a fairly beefy computer and when resizing windowed mode (i have the window taking up top right 1/4 of the screen, but need to cover the title bar of OBS below for proper streaming size ratio to avoid black bars) and whenever i drag the bottom edge down (i am sitting at title screen)...
