Re: Ability to draw on map
Being able to draw on the map is a fantastic planning feature. I'd love to simply just have coloured lines I can paint on free-form, mainly when planning out expansion and future train lines and stuff from the map view. Bumping this thread because it's still not in the game, so the best we have is m...

Re: Friday Facts #388 - Smaller things for 2.0
Can I actually do this? Instead of just doing math (10*100), or typing 10k, can I do like "10s" and get 10 stacks? S for Stacks?Often times you want to set some constant number, like "I want 7.5 stacks here",

Re: Friday Facts #305 - The Oil Changes
Please pardon me if this is already mentioned, but I stopped reading this thread at page 5 because I realised there's 24 pages of conversation and I think I have an idea on how this could be implemented in a simpler and intuitive way. Please consider this design: The goal here is to not throw light ...

Re: debian 7 help GLIBC_2.14 GLIBC_2.15 server factorio
Might be related - I am running my headless server on CentOS 7 and that didn't have glibc 2.18 so I had to manually compile it to run the server. You could do the same thing? I followed instructions from here: https://forums.factorio.com/viewtopic.php?f=49&t=54619 More information: https://forum...

Please provide the linux headless tarball so I can update from 53 to 54. I can see the full game is https://www.factorio.com/download/experimental but it hasn't arrived at https://www.factorio.com/download-headless/experimental to obtain so I can update my server.

Re: Version 0.17.9
Incomplete or corrupt download or the devs messed the package up. Yeah I had this too using the core-linux_headless64 package for my server. The delta package didn't seem to update correctly, ended up with the following error when using update_factorio.py after a massive series of logs that unfortu...

I think you're wrong. Factorio IS sleep! As Factorio goes up, sleep goes down, thus Factorio is a valid substitute for sleep! Who needs sleep when you've got Factorio? I think you need some shut-eyeShutEye_DK wrote: ↑Wed Mar 06, 2019 9:03 pm You don't HAVE to DL anything. It's not food, water or sleep.

Re: Using Arrow Keys for Instant Item Direction; In Addition to Rotating with R and Shift-R
Very convenient idea. I always end up pressing R repeatedly because I forget which way I need to rotate the thing, and if I go past it I spam R some more. I should really be using Shift-R more often, and also not missing the correct rotation. The arrow keys are an absolute, no-mistake solution to my...

Rearranging/renumbering toolbelt rows
TL;DR The player cannot rearrange/renumber each row of the toolbelt to change the order. What? I think it would be very useful to be able to customize the toolbelt a bit by being able to renumber or rearrange the rows that we have set up filters on. For example, if I have a selection of filters on ...

Re: Simple Questions and Short Answers
I have not played with it enough to know how to save the toolbelt from one game to the next, but you’re supposed to be able to do exactly that. This enables you to set it in one game, and then not have to set it again. That’s also why there are 10 rows in the toolbelt, two of which are active. I do...

Re: Simple Questions and Short Answers
Is there a shortcut to put something from my inventory to my toolbelt? I know the toolbelt is now just a shortcut to what's in my inventory, but when I get some transport belts, I'd like them on my toolbelt. I have to open inventory, click the transport belts, then click where I want it on my toolbe...

Re: Game textures loading wrong 0.17.1
What have you attempted to resolve the issue? It could be a graphics driver issue, or possibly data corruption. Check your drivers and do a verify of the game data (assuming Steam version) to make sure all's good. Change some settings in the graphics option too, like texture quality or compression o...

Re: Can't change the port to run 2 headless servers at once.
Try and explicitly include the config.ini path in the command you execute to start the server (the -c option). To test if it is being executed correctly, flick the check update flag so that you can see a change in the output to ensure it's being read correctly.

[Headless 0.16.51] No update package to 0.17.0
I would like to update my headless server from 0.16.51 to 0.17.0. I am using the Factorio Updater script. It pings the this endpoint and I believe it is looking for a {"from":"0.16.51","to":"0.17.0"} entry to perform the update, but there is not one there. Is ...
