Re: Do you think Wube would buy/hire Bobs mod dev(s)?
Any negatives towards mods not being polished is ultimately an unfair comparison for two primary reasons. The first reason is they can only make use of the tools that Wube provides them, which as history has shown sometimes means having things taken away for reasons that may make sense for vanilla b...

Oops, forgot the image of all the buildings in my former post. But here's a chance to show how the recent recipe speed change impacted the number of buildings for that 20/m design. http://puu.sh/EjfAc/8e3d8897aa.png Version 142: http://puu.sh/EjfMG/d577cff685.png It's nice to see some reductions of...

Re: Geothermal - A clean, but powerful power source all day long
I've been getting this error message when I try starting with GeoThermal... Capture.PNG Go back to Factorio version .66 and copy the images from the chemical-plant folder, then return to the latest version and restore them without replacing anything. The boiling green patch images will then be ther...

Re: [0.17+] Space Exploration WIP
Had some fun making some massive helmod sheets, including one for all of space science. It took several hours of tweaking numbers to perfection and helmod would occasionally break trying to calculate it all. My patience persisted out of curiously for what to expect. Using only space materials to cra...

Re: [0.17] Please post bugs and balance issues here.
The main use for Plutonium is something I have yet to add, using it in thorium-plutonium fuel cells is sort of a "Here's a use for it for now" thing. Also, I wouldn't say the recipes are where I want them right now anyway. I should probably do a bit more research and write up a better cha...

Re: Survey: How do YOU feel about FFF #309 opinions?
Maybe a Google survey or something would have worked better, with a link for people to see the results? There's an option to see the results next to the vote button. The results thus far have been what I've expected, though the one with bots was a bit of a surprise given the near equal result for b...

Re: Friday Facts #312 - Fluid mixing saga & Landfill terrain
It seems to me that what some people here are looking for is platforms and not landfill. The platform can cover the water but also be removed to restore the water underneath. After using the mod for a while, I must agree that being able to remove a misplaced tile or create a watering hole down the r...

Re: [0.17] Please post bugs and balance issues here.
It's something that will need to be addressed at some point. The Space Exploration mod with its anti-matter cells locked near the end of the tech tree with their ability of generating intense heat up to 5000 degrees within a short time period isn't very appealing compared to deuterium (Ironically). ...

Re: Pymods Feedback
My feedback is rather simple, because I can't persist long enough to go further than a certain point before I'm bored. This came as a surprise from someone who plays with AAI/Angel/Bob/Space Exploration + other extension and biter mods. Simply put, the early game is such a slog to get through that i...

Advanced automation science packs aren't part of Bob's. This is a conflict with one of your mods that adds new science.Pinoccio64 wrote: ↑Sun Sep 08, 2019 7:07 pmAt this stage of the game, I cannot make or reproduce the advanced automation science pack (orange)

Just here to congratulate you on your release.
I was planning to retire after my AAI/Bob/Angel/Space Exploration game, but I'll be putting this on my list for a future playthrough. It looks too interesting not to try at least once.

Re: Licensing and mod portal
Bethesda supposedly once tried to offer mod authors the ability to monetize their Skyrim mods, but the outcry from the "we want it for free!" people was so huge that they took the system down again. I'm sure the news coverage was incomplete and there were likely other problems with the sy...

Re: The radar dish spinning
Having stood by them while doing several tests, their sounds are burned into my brain and I wish it would end.
I think I'll change their sound to some heavy metal music, something the biters might enjoy more as well.

Re: Friday Facts #309 - Controversial opinions
Controversion Opinion of my own: Get rid of "achievements" again. All they do is cause people to whine when they're disabled due to mods/commands/editor/cosmic rays. Ofc they also whine when certain achievements get easier/harder due to changes in game mechanics. The dev time wasted on th...

Re: Friday Facts #310 - Glowing Heat pipes
Choosing between realism and aesthetically pleasing, I'm going to choose the latter here. Sometimes it's not worth getting too uppity about every little detail when what's presented is perfectly serviceable. It is nice to see little details being added in general as I didn't expect nuclear to get an...

Re: Any plans to bring back wooden boards?
So in my most recent BA run, I noticed that the removal of wooden boards was a huge nerf to the difficulty of this mod combo. Partially, but it isn't exactly difficult to create considerable amounts of liquid resin using the formaldehyde based recipes early on. Naphta is also the essential liquid f...

I'm also very surprised that in a game, where you can change or fine tune almost anything without problems, using console, LUA or mod, someone using Cheat Engine. Maybe they are too lazy or do not understand that in Factorio, one can change almost everything from a console? Cheat Engine has been us...

Re: Version 0.17.60
From now a year nobody will mention this change anymore. You can only pound sand for so long. That was obvious within the first week and blatantly obvious as the days went further by. I feel sorry for those who wasted their time talking to dead air. I'm sure many hours were wasted on doing research...
