This is an uncomfortable addition. However, 100% these tier names need to change. They don't fit even 1% with the games aesthetic.
Both these things.
The system as a whole ... I'm very dubious about.

But the names, those desperately need to change to make it not seem like a joke.

Also, enabling vsync is a nice reliable way for to be cause a huge ups drop for several seconds without the map being involved at all.

Issue certainly seems related to vsync setting. Log for a session which includes playing about with the vsync setting is attached. The no "no_vsync" screenshot does also show some ups drop, but it took about 5 seconds of spam clicking the pollution toggle to get it, and it recovered almost...

[0.17.23] Default Interface Scaling Causes Overlap in Debug Info at 4K

Default interface scaling is set to 200% in 4K.
This causes the debug info to be overlapped and undreadable.

Example of overlapped debug info is attached, as is an example of the same screen with a custom set 150% scale (so the issue is very much work-around-able).

The game suffers UPS drops for several seconds when pressing any of the the map overlay options. It dos not seem to matter whether the option is being enabled or disabled, simply changing the state casues UPS to fall drastically if it was previously in a steady state. Thanks, running with that option fixed the issue.

I don't know if it's useful or not, but I had a similar issue with Dawn of War when running in 3840*2160 and had to change a config file to disable legacy DX8 cursors before that worked.

On loading the game, no cursor is displayed in the menu.
Menu items are still highlight when the (invisible) cursor is over them, and appear to work correctly when clicked.

When the main game is loaded, still not cursor.
