[Twinsen] [0.17.7] Personal Laser doesn't always show animation
I have 6 personal lasers in my Power Armor MK2 and small biters just drop dead when they get near me without the laser firing which doesn't feel very awesome, expected to at least see something occurring (may have nerfed evolution too much for this map lol). Here's a short clip of it happening: http...

Re: [0.17.3] Stutter when zooming in "god mode"
For what it's worth I cannot reproduce this in a non god-mode game. I tried using the minimap to be able to zoom towards the upper-right but it seems smooth each time.

Re: [0.17.3] Stutter when zooming in "god mode"
I understand the concept of zooming towards a cursor and how that internally is going to be made up of an increase in scale and a translation for sure, but I'm still convinced this is a bug. The reason for that is I'm in game trying it right now and it's the inconsistency that has me so convinced. P...

[0.17.3] Battery indicator very difficult to see
Noticed during gameplay that I could barely see the amount of charge left in my batteries if I was squinting. I'm on 2560x1440 res at 1.25x UI scaling (auto). Here's a zoomed in picture which sort of defeats the purpose because the zoom makes it easier to see. But in normal conditions the red in the...

[0.17.3] Stutter when zooming in "god mode"
I started up a scenario (Sandbox) to build an oil blueprint and I noticed that zooming while panning around seems to bug out further zooming. You'll notice a flicker of the entities appearing in one place, then settling to another between my scrollwheel "clicks". Hardware & Drivers: Wi...

Re: [0.17.3] Skewed power lines
Came to the forum to post this. Instead will add a +1. I can no longer make everything look beautiful. I've tried to remove the poles and replace them many times but without fail one of them will end up twisted at an angle for some reason.

Re: Friday Facts #283 - Prepare to Launch
Everything looks amazing! Can't wait! Also really interested by the biter changes that have been going on.
The rocket silo looks gorgeous, but I wonder why the lights stop flashing once the silo begins to rise. You'd think they'd keep going until it launched, no?

[0.16.15] Engine units counted as raw resources
Bug: - Total raw resources are not displayed for recipes like "Production Science Pack" or "Electric Engine Unit", instead the electric engine unit or engine unit shows up as a raw resource, despite not being a raw resource. Reproduce: - Mouse over recipe in inventory, look under...

[0.16.13] Trains can place on top of each other
Bug: - Trains place on top of each other Reproduce steps: - Take train engines from inventory - Stand on tracks close to the right of where the first engine would be placed - Click-and-drag place train engines starting at the train station while running (don't move mouse, just run) - If you were sta...

Re: Friday Facts #191 - Gui improvements
Everything up until the player inventory is gold and is great. The player inventory idea however suffers from the problem of hiding information (which sounds like the point - but I don't think it's desirable). You may say that it's bad that you rarely need to see your characters loadout but when you...

[0.15.6] Belt flickering at max zoom-out level (map-view)
When I was zooming in/out in game I noticed this. At the very farthest zoom level that still shows the entities and not the map, I get a pretty intense flicker on belts. Nothing else seems to have this. Ridiculously large gif (should have used a different format, sorry :D): https://storage.googleapi...

[0.15.x] Water Inputs on Oil related pieces
I understand this is not truly a bug but a design decision. Just wanted to have it viewed and intentionally discarded as wontfix rather than slip through and later go: "Could have fixed this in 0.15 but we didn't now it'll be like this forever" Currently the water inputs in oil related rec...

Re: [MOD 0.14.x] UPS-up
Have a mostly Vanilla+ factory that's suffering pretty badly. I tried to install UPS-Up but it doesn't do anything. When I click the UPS++ button on the top left, the GUI doesn't show up. This is much different than if I start a new game, the UI comes up right away and everything works. Mod list is:...

Re: Performance optimization - post your saves
I thought I would post this save that is bringing a 2cpu 2.6GHz Sandy Bridge Google Cloud instance to it's knees. I have a feeling it's just too many belts + entities, but since it's basically no longer playable I figure this is the best thing to do with it: https://storage.googleapis.com/aarondl-fa...

Re: Vanilla seems to have richer ore
I should also note that I haven't used the RSO configuration at all. This is out of the box settings for everything. Not sure if that matters.

Re: Vanilla seems to have richer ore
http://i.imgur.com/L3awlwz.jpg The results are in! I'm still seeing about 2x disparity between the vanilla game for distance vs richness (7801 N for 51M ore). The size now is REALLY REALLY big. In the screenshot there's a drill, you can barely see it haha. It seems a bit too tilted in terms of size...

Re: Vanilla seems to have richer ore
I've noticed you've mentioned patches becoming buggy due to size. I'm a coder, can you humor me and explain the challenges that would come with making it more vanilla-like? What's an off-chunk generation? Why do patches become buggy after a certain size, what is that size, what's the bug? Just curio...

Re: Vanilla seems to have richer ore
http://imgur.com/HCDYHtg http://i.imgur.com/HCDYHtg.png So I redid the test on RSO with the latest version. It did seem to increase things. But around ~6000 N, I'm still seeing a 10x difference which seems really substantial. The other thing to mention is that the ore patches are very small, I was a...

Vanilla seems to have richer ore
So I did a vanilla game and an RSO game with the same settings (very low freq, very large size, very rich for everything except biters were very low). I'm not sure if the vanilla generate dialog has any effect on RSO or if I have to modify the config file. The result of both of these games are here:...
