Just do quick test before sleep... Start from terminal create config in current folder, but not in jar location (i.m. stay in home and execute "java -jar ~/Games/factorio/McLauncher.jar" places config in home). Can launch multiple game and self instances. Game path commits to config after ...

GUI mess may caused by OpenJDK that is not (but tries) native Java.
