Re: Friday Facts #89 Timetables

Still hoping version 12 will have the HD textures for everything ... This is not going to happen :) We have currently high res versions of 2 entities (the 2 we presented in the fff already), and the new entities are prepared and rendered for high resolution as well, but it is not tested nor integra...

Re: Friday Facts #89 Timetables

I see you guys rendered it in a higher resolution :) :) :) is this for a release into a high res mod? This isn't a HD texture: https://eu3.factorio.com/assets//img/blog/fff-89-ammo-turret-rotation.gif Neither is this, for comparing: https://eu3.factorio.com/assets//img/blog/fff-64-steam-engine-norm...

Re: Friday Facts #88 - Combinators

These HD will be awsome but HD mean precision and i think this Steam Engine if really weird and really broken x) If you look right on the bottom right, the part who look like an egg must be flying because the arm if passing through the central axis of this part. (in the picture, the red lines help ...

Re: Friday Facts #88 - Combinators

Remembers me of the lost race of making raster images (PNG) ever bigger to allow better zoom levels/details for images, where a vector image (SVG) could provide endless zoom while retaining the sharpness and details. Wait - it's exactly the same that happends here  I'd really love to see the...

Could even do with triple resolution :o
I'm afraid the system requirements actually displayed are a little outdated
Well, what are the actual requirements?

Hmm. I think a few HD items between the otherwise low res things would look out of place though.

Maybe just double the resolution on all textures together :D

The curves don't slow things down. The movement is more smooth, so the ratios should get closer to 1:2:3 Curves won't slow things down anymore? That seems like a very fundamental principal that will be removed. I'm not saying I'm disliking it. It just seems weird after I spend so much time avoiding...

Will the steam version remain DRM-free? Can existing purchases be transferred to steam and also the other way around, registering an account here with a steam purchase?

Paid mods are dead! Maybe they'll introduce a donation based system in the future.

Re: Silly thoughts about Science Packs

One other science related question: How does our character know what he has left to research, but not actually have enough data to know how to build it without using a lab first? It would be cool to have a fancy tech tree of researched things that doesn't show future research that isn't affordable ...

Some people will not like that news, but I do - I really like this "bug" fixed. :) Why quotes? It is a bug, a real convyor belt corner would not work like that. Items on the outer row would be spaced out but moving faster, both sides still getting the same ammount of pieces around the cor...
