Re: pY Raw Ores Discussion

As far as I'm concerned, the solution would be to ensure that each tier consumes less raw ore than the previous one. The way I look at the higher tiers is that you're exchanging part of the ore cost from the actual ore to other resources, so the high tier recipes shouldn't be some fancy productivit...

Re: pY Raw Ores Discussion

you will run out of salt fast also through the borax also some chains use other metals in them so there will be metal cannibalism Theres two kinds of people who plays factorio, the ones like you trying to find the correct numbers, having headaches and such and the ones who just want have fun while ...

Re: pY Raw Ores Discussion

Forgot to ask - what if i want to get more alumina but not aluminium plates? So there're will be no improvements for alumina? Some electronic components in PYHT using alumina and sometimes i'm using polishing compound from bob's mods which requires alimina too The product of these chain IS alumina....

Re: pY Raw Ores Discussion

is it safe to assume we wont get a release candidate till you've burned through the poll options? my body is so ready for this mod. <3 yes...and even more than that, since it´s all need to be coded. Then I'm starting to question the usefulness of having the poll options at all ;) . I want to be abl...

I noticed you have Angels in there, that's probably what's causing it.

Re: pY Raw Ores Discussion

Interesting! So you can get steel from the iron chain or iron oxide, or do you need both? I'm also wondering if the liquid iron gives increased yields on the iron plates. Anything that stretches our resources further is always a plus. :D I'm loving this simple chain and how it gives a bit of a previ...

Re: Satisfactory - 3D Factorio?

This looks promising, but I'll wait and see how it turns out. Based on what they said, it could be equivalent to a pretty large Factorio map, so I'm not all that worried about it. It all depends on moddability and variety of resources for me. The stackable belts open up many possibilities for more c...

Re: Give feedback: steam power overhaul

But then why would anyone build SE4 and SE5 when they can get Turbines instead for the same cost or slightly cheaper?

Re: Repository of production tree images?

As far as I know the Coal Processing mod is the only one that doesn't have them. The other mods have them on their home page.

Re: Give feedback: steam power overhaul

But then you end up in a similar situation where people make the higher tier SE only to use them in the ST. It makes more sense to me to have ST1 come sfter SE5, with maybe changing the recipes so they use less advanced materials. That's probably something that would have to be done to account for a...

Re: Give feedback: steam power overhaul

I also like the changes, but I'm a bit curious as to how you'd rebalance the recipes for the turbines and steam engines. The current cost for turbines is way too cheap to make it worth building the MK3-5 boilers, so I'm sure that would be addressed. As a starting point, since in this plan, a steam ...

Re: pY Fusion Energy - Discussion

Out of curiosity, how do fusion reactors compare to nuclear in terms of large scale production vs costs? It would be a shame to have this complex and interesting electricity production chain and not use it because it's not as viable as the vanilla options for a megabase.

Well well well.... we got a tie here. In that case, i will sort it out and the next chain will be..... URANIUM. You guys......you have NO IDEA..of how complex that sh*t is. I will sweat to tone down the whole process. But anyway...lets do it :D No, no toning down! :P But on a serious note, will thi...

Re: pY Raw Ores Discussion

I'm convinced people running Angels with pymods are insane, py-bob is complex enough, and then you add Angels? Madness! Seriously though, I like the developing levels of output with more investment into the process. Agreed! I can't understand why some people want to play with every mod ever made. T...

That would work too, but then you have to add so much more recipes for the Angel's chains. That's a lot of work, good thing I'm not the one modding it .

Re: pY Raw Ores Discussion

Actually, now that I think about it, it should be fairly simple to run this with angels if you have the end product be ingots instead of plates. That way you still get to use angel's smelting and alloys.

Re: pY Raw Ores Discussion

No way I'm using this with angels  I really like the idea of having complex chains for each ore to increase yield. Anything to stretch how much you can get from your outposts is a good thing. :) I really wasn't sure what I wanted the next ore to be, but I voted for Steel because it's the natura...
