I've let the game run for 10 minutes. Zoomed in as far in as I can.
Stable fps hovers between 33 and 34 ups/fps

If you have steam you could make your own controller mapping with big picture mode I believe.

Revisiting this since a friend of mine is running this as well. After the 1.0.0 release Factorio is running significantly better as the results I posted before.
