Re: Friday Facts #408 - Statistics improvements, Linux adventures
I do have a suggestion for production statistics (sorry if it has already been mentioned) Please include a way of visualising for each recipe how all the machines producing the same thing spend their time. (Producing, Input starved or Output blocked) This should make it way easier to check if your p...

Re: Friday Facts #406 - Space Age Music
It is rain. Definitely rain. It never stops pouring on that planet, is it? Everything is drippy and rivers erode the land at alarming rates... sounds exiting. Is was kinda expecting the Fulgoria track to come with a touch of mystery, maybe even melancholy with all those alien ruins littered on the l...

Re: Friday Facts #405 - Whole belt reader, New logistics GUI
Can you think of any other improvements we can make to it? Yes. Please make the list of items available in both descending and ascending order. (it is also still too big and looking for something specific in a sea of icons is no bueno) While you implement that - Please also find a better solution t...

Pipette all things? Pipette ALL the things! Okay, maybe only 1% of users would ever use it, but... hear me out: Pipette decorations! Pipette ruins! Pipette resource patches themselves! Pipette Trees! Pipette Aliens! For mapmaking by hand, for custom scenarios (and arrange battlefield starting-format...

Re: Friday Facts #403 - Train stops 2.0
When tinkering around with schedules and logic conditions on the trains themselves, I have the opportunity to set the train to manual to prevent it from leaving or going places it shouldn't be, until I am finished with putting in all of my changes and checked my work. Problem: With stations I don't ...

Re: Friday Facts #401 - New terrain, new planet
Finally some love for alien worldbuilding! I can already see new tactical applications on the horizon... It would be so nice, if terrain gets even more attention. Like giving (small) range bonuses to buildings (artillery  ) on cliffs over things below (also: grenades hurled over the edge).....

Re: Friday Facts #399 - Trash to Treasure
I think the problem is some of us just. can't. ever. throw things away. Everything mined must also be used for higher goals like growing the factory or perforating wildlife... eventually, but not recycled into nothingness. And that means the need to store it until then. It's a Dragon thing... ;) Any...

Re: Friday Facts #389 - Train control improvements
So we fixed it, so the train will only give up its reservation once it leaves the block with the train stop. I would be interested to know if other people encountered this problem in 1.1 as well. YES! I tried to design a train depot with circuit logic to distribute coal across the base dynamically....

Re: Friday Facts #386 - Vulcanus
First thought: Ooooh pretty! Second thought: On second look I am sure, we will still see a lot of changes. There's still something 'off' about these new cliffs. It may be that they blend in so much structurally that you had to make them stand out by shade instead... and that works good on the first ...

Re: Friday Facts #384 - Combinators 2.0
Oh... yes! I almost forgot about memory circuits... Tidbit about my experience with them: I avoid using them as much as possible - precisely because they are janky as hell. When I was trying to actually learn circuits by experimentation, not by watching tutorials and/or just copying others blueprint...

Re: Friday Facts #384 - Combinators 2.0
Oh, was that a call that I may wish for a feature for the new combinator? Severely missed in my Space Exploration Playthrough: A quick and easy way to filter Signals by a list of other signals. (Basically the operations INNER JOIN, RED JOIN, GREEN JOIN as if for database tables) Use case: I have a r...

Came here to see what the drama was behind a teammember leaving. Because, having read posts like this before, it sounded like there was drama. A lot. Glad there wasn't. But be aware that mentioning two facts in close proximity implies to the experienced reader of press releases and corporate speech ...

In case, we are holding a vote: I actually like the more vibrant colors. It's just enough to make the game look better without overdoing it. (like Diablo3 did)
Also having some trees be strangely colored is cool. I definitely won't chop those down.

Oh god, no. Those points about WoW classic... I don't agree at all. Dungeon finder was a godsend to those of us who didn't want to spend hours assembling a functioning group. Having to idle around the dungeon entrance while trying to find competent AND friendly people to join and help us, then havin...

These new ore icons look really good on the belt. This is not a change I needed, but a change I appreciate. While on the subject of nitpicky optics changes... Can you make the items on the belts rotate properly, too? With some things (namely flat things like concrete, plates, circuit boards) it beco...

This reminds me of the 6 stages of debugging:
1 That can’t happen.
2 That doesn’t happen on my machine.
3 That shouldn’t happen.
4 Why does that happen?
5 Oh, I see.
6 How did that ever work?

Re: Friday Facts #290 - Rail building changes & High-res icons
To be honest, sprite popping/resolution change with draw size is such a common sight in games that I hardly notice it anymore. Especially when deliberately zooming in/out in discrete steps, my eyes take like half a second to adjust to the new picture anyway and only if I really look for an imperfect...
