Re: Friday Facts #430 - Drowning in Fluids
I get the distinct impression that the real issue is that all the "bigbrain efficiency" reactor designs invented for dealing with the old fluid-system's quirks are now becoming obsolete and thus nobody will any longer appreciate the mental prowess of those that designed them. And even wors...

It is good that they don't grow back. Fighting them for territory and on your terms is sounding much less frustrating than fighting Nauvis biters forever just because.

Re: Friday Facts #427 - Combat Balancing & Space Age LAN
Nothing groundbreaking... just casually nerfing PLD into the ground. Yes, I get it - it was too powerful for the investment of time and ressources, being used more as an annihilation bubble centered around the player. But slashing it to a third, while _also_ buffing the enemies? That's harsh... I wo...

OR Whatever is running around there, has just a taste for coal :D Must be Germans then. We will attack with the biggest Mechs you can imagine and dig your Coal! Do you have any particular IP in mind here? Only thing I can think of atm is Iron Harvest and I am sure their mechs run on oil. Yes I do i...

Interesting take on pollution... so you're basically becoming granpa farmer yelling at them leggies to "get off ma lawn!"

Re: Friday Facts #421 - Optimizations 2.0
Ok first: Nice job!
Second: I wonder if we see some similar improvements for Biters. Their pathing and swarm mechanics are still something that has potential for improvement - most notably in the cases where they (for whatever reason) just accumulate over time and eat your UPS instead of your ammo.

Re: Friday Facts #419 - Display Panel & Inserter pickup fixes
Can we have the display plates as early as Red-Tier Research, or even for free, please? (and literally cost only a brick) :?: Display panels with circuit integration is fine to be put with the other circuits. But I would severely miss the capability of engraving a simple and static slab of stone for...

Does your lead artist have trypo-fetish? As someone who is suffering from trypophobia β base game nests are already somewhat uncomfortable to look at, but it's manageable. Even some item icons in the past were triggering it. I'm thankful that they were updated. But looking at this planet outright m...

Re: Friday Facts #409 - Diminishing beacons
Hottake: If a player is so far into Factory optimisation as to spam beacons and obsessing over exact production statistics, they can be expected to use a calculator. Getting powercreep under control is an important design goal, so yeah - beacon changes are good. Only one thing stated in the blog pos...

Re: Friday Facts #408 - Statistics improvements, Linux adventures
I do have a suggestion for production statistics (sorry if it has already been mentioned) Please include a way of visualising for each recipe how all the machines producing the same thing spend their time. (Producing, Input starved or Output blocked) This should make it way easier to check if your p...

It is rain. Definitely rain. It never stops pouring on that planet, is it? Everything is drippy and rivers erode the land at alarming rates... sounds exiting. Is was kinda expecting the Fulgoria track to come with a touch of mystery, maybe even melancholy with all those alien ruins littered on the l...

Re: Friday Facts #405 - Whole belt reader, New logistics GUI
Can you think of any other improvements we can make to it? Yes. Please make the list of items available in both descending and ascending order. (it is also still too big and looking for something specific in a sea of icons is no bueno) While you implement that - Please also find a better solution t...

Pipette all things? Pipette ALL the things! Okay, maybe only 1% of users would ever use it, but... hear me out: Pipette decorations! Pipette ruins! Pipette resource patches themselves! Pipette Trees! Re: Friday Facts #403 - Train stops 2.0
When tinkering around with schedules and logic conditions on the trains themselves, I have the opportunity to set the train to manual to prevent it from leaving or going places it shouldn't be, until I am finished with putting in all of my changes and checked my work. Problem: With stations I don't ...

Finally some love for alien worldbuilding! I can already see new tactical applications on the horizon... It would be so nice, if terrain gets even more attention. Like giving (small) range bonuses to buildings (artillery  ) on cliffs over things below (also: grenades hurled over the edge).....

Re: Friday Facts #399 - Trash to Treasure
I think the problem is some of us just. can't. ever. throw things away. Everything mined must also be used for higher goals like growing the factory or perforating wildlife... eventually, but not recycled into nothingness. And that means the need to store it until then. It's a Dragon thing... ;) Any...
