Re: 3 and 4 way intersections
I wonder if there is a factor for this that's worth measuring for determining whether a result is actually useful. You need to change the tpm. It's tuned for 2-4 trains so that there is a small gap that allows other trains to go. In the picture, the left circled CC is for manually changing the opti...

Re: Information-Layers (for map and/or normal view)
Just in case someone stumbles across this while searching for a solution: these days there is a mod called https://mods.factorio.com/mod/resourcehighlighter (not mine) which helps spotting at least resource patches more easily.

Search for resource patch names on the map?
The mod pack I am currently playing has a lot of differente resources. I am having trouble simply spotting them (even though I have already explored/radar-scanned the map). Some of the patch colors (on the overview map) are actually *exactly* the same as regular map colors - they are not only hard t...

Re: Please review my mod list for a mellow first Py run
generally you don't need a huge amount of them I'm almost done with automating red science, and I like the modpack a lot. I'm going with your recommendation of 0.1s/s, and indeed almost all items can be done with a single unit. I'm not doing a bus so far, and it's hilarious spaghetti. :) I've done ...

Re: Please review my mod list for a mellow first Py run
Awesome, thanks for your advice. I was thinking about starting on an island to be safe from biters at the beginning, but I agree - if it's not intended to be played with biters and has no good tools to deal with them, I'll switch them off. There is nothing like collecting biter remains or something ...

Please review my mod list for a mellow first Py run
I have been playing Factorio since 0.14, including several 1-2kspm factories, big city grid, most of the big mod packs (i.e., SeaBlock, Krastorio2, Space Revolution, Industrial Revolution, Schall, etc.). I am happy to figure out complex stuff and dive deep; I have made big excel sheets for some pack...

Re: Interest in an offline Factorio compendium/calculator?
I've consider creating an offline repository of info for Factorio (ex. ratio calculator, tech tree, basic statistics for most items, maybe something to do with blueprints - I'm open to feedback) combining some information from the wiki, the (now defunct) guide, various ratio tools, etc., but I'm no...

Re: Whats your current game goal?
Currently, I'm working on completing Seablock. Just closed the game for the first time in at least 48 hours - that thing is SLOW! Man, Seablock might just break my “vanilla only” policy. ;) Everything I hear and read seems pretty awesome. Angels/Bobs as well. Seablock was what broke my "vanill...

Re: Whats your current game goal?
After my last large run (SeaBlock in 0.15) I took a little break and now finished a Vanilla factory with no-bots, no-laser, no-solar, no-walls, no-turrets (only pre-emptive strikes, train-world obviously) to get some more achievements. 't was a blast. I'll keep this factory running to get the "...
