Re: Status of 2.1?
I would pay for more DLC but I think it's against their 'philosophy' to release small-scale DLC. they wanted to make a significant DLC, and now they have. perhaps 2.1 will have more to it than expected, and then probably it will be some other new game that they give us hints for for a while.

Re: Victory not achieved when reached Solar System Edge
is this still the case? now I'm not even sure. I did send my character there, but then the victory screen says that you won "by dispatching an interstellar space platform", which sounds like you don't need the player to be present? it's kind of a huge difference having to have the player there or ...

so far I am dealing with it by choosing New Game 8)
can also try Death World and/or Marathon modes or maybe Ribbon World (one of the only settings that affects the other planets)

Re: Well, Fulgora sucks [Spoilers]
Hey it's me (not OP) from the future.
I am on my second playthrough (hopefully successful this time) and just wanted to say that I "get" Fulgora now. I think I like it almost as much as Gleba. (Vulcanus is then left being the least interesting planet before Aquilo).
what I did was go there first ...

Re: [1.1.39] Copying recepie into requester chest causing too big request
Ok, working through some more examples I do see that it seems to fit that formula.
Bulk inserter and Assembling Machine 2 recipes in an Assembling Machine 2 result in 45x recipe, which is 75% (speed of Asm 2) of 60 seconds (produce at 2/sec).
Foundry (from Foundry): Cost is 50/30/50/20, but ...

Re: [1.1.39] Copying recepie into requester chest causing too big request
the request is calculated for half a minute of production
this seems to not be a great way to do it. it seems then that slow things get tiny requests and fast things get huge requests? (I will need to test it more), when I would expect something in the middle. didn't it used to be 0.5x or 1.5x ...

Re: Gleba has killed the game for me.
So what have stopped 48% of brave Gleba's conquerors? Problems on Vulcanus and Fulgora after Gleba? Difficulties of space platform design? Or maybe Gleba is so good that there is nothing more interesting after it?
EDIT: in my 2nd space age playthrough (attempt) right now and have changed my ...

Binary hard, do it right or we wil instantly punish you without any usable feedback other than FAIL.
it's not like that though, there's all kinds of ways to set things up. there's so much flexibility actually, I'm not even sure what the best options out of all the many options are. I'm no expert ...

Re: Effective science per minute higher than expected
hmm, productivity will not directly increase your output rate, will it? in terms of speed, productivity slows things down. ok over time you have effectively more science in the long run, but not in the sense that it would push up your /min rate.
but then that would move your estimate in the wrong ...

The game doesn't explain any of this.
well, it sort of does, but it's easy to miss. (if you mean it doesn't popup a message or something, ok fine, but the information is there to see.) for me, I missed other things.
1) I saw that seeds at 2% chance from 50 fruit would net to zero over time, and ...

Re: $50 DLC and no sale is disappointing
They’ve been iterating on it for 4 years already with a team more than twice the size of what they had for most of 1.0’s development, and if they didn’t think it was worth the price, they wouldn’t have released it. And I’m sure they’ll be iterating on it further for at least a year or two.
I ...

Re: $50 DLC and no sale is disappointing
And Factorio is certainly NOT more expensive than Baldur's Gate 1
not sure what you mean here; I guess you mean the original price? not even sure what that was. BG1:EE is ~$26 CAD (even less on GoG) on sale for ~$8 CAD. that includes the original expansion and two new expansions.
BG3 is regular ...

Re: Space Age is too hard
I don't think it's "fair" to compare SA to "Factorio without biters". Standard Factorio has biters, and standard SA should be harder than standard Factorio. "Easy SA" should be harder than "easy Factorio" as well actually. But there doesn't necessarily have to be a limit to just how easy you can ...

Re: $50 DLC and no sale is disappointing
I'm not in a good place right now to determine whether it is or isn't "worth it".
I almost like their philosophy about it if I have it right, which IIRC from FFFs is something like that if the game is not worth the price, they want to force themselves to MAKE it worth the price, rather than accept ...
