The new update looks great.
There is just one thing that sprins to mind when i see the reactor though,
reactors actually glow blue when they are active. (which is very cool)
On the other hand, it probably would be look strange that green glowing ore makes a reactor glow blue.

You should also look at the power consumption and internal capacitor. (Christ)
I own and play Shenzien i/o, but i only started in the middle of making 3rd page
I like to think that the datsheet would be less of a tutorial if i didin't, though.

The factorio docs
I like to think that the machines in factorio are built from blueprints that are bought by the factorio company (or whatever organisation that makes this cancerous factory growth happen). So i decided to write datasheets (beacause im a wierdo that thinks that these things are fun) for the different ...

I read this and realized that i have no clue about how efficient the different operations are.
Im probably going to do some benchmarking to see how this will turn out.

Moved from Ideas and Suggestions to this thread -- daniel34 Hi devs, i've read a lot about your path-finder-solveing problem and... Did you think that this is a problem from programmers algorithm competitions (yes, i was competitor, now the coach, russia). So, A* is not one of the best desicions fo...

Re: Train experiments
In the game code, locomotives have a weight of 2000, and cargo wagons 1000 regardless of what's IN either. Every unit has a "friction" value, and I believe its the same for both. Power-to-weight ratio is not the sole determinate to acceleration and top-speed, as the added friction from le...

I was very tired at the time of writing that is also why parts of theMrDoomah wrote:While only the locomotive has an engine, every wagon has brakes.kel wrote:vagons will slow down acceleration, but not retardation
witch is against the concept of inertia.
text was unreadable.
thanks for pointing it out!

i belive that "burner" machines are run by a stirling engine and are completly mecanical.
stirling engines can run of any kind of heat and are very effient, but require extensive cooling

Train experiments
trains are a intresting subject for me, and naturaly i wanted to see what i could do to learn about them. so i conducted i couple of experiments. Most of this should be fairly obious, but i described the experiments in detail for those who are intrested. experiment #1 - train speed =================...

how about a new "precison insterter" that can only take/place items from/to only one line, but can be configured to take from one specific line to another?

although i love the new power breaker i do belive that it looks kind off odd. why make a big heavy (and overengineered) machine when you can use a disconnector (google it) also i would love a way to stop trains as i still have train problems (there are a tiny chocke point that only fits 3 rail lines...

just remember to allow eletric pole-wires to be able to control rail signals.
i have nightmarish logistic problems with the trains and i hope being able to automaticly disable trains not in use would help.
