Confirmed that this is happening in recent experimental version 2.0.67. Turned off all mods, still happens. I thought it might be something in the creative mod, but it is in the vanilla game with space age at least.
Please fix quickly, it is really annoying.

I want this feature. So found this thread. Would love Wube to add it to their interface.

That post takes me back to my game developer days (90s). Ahh the strange and weird bugs, the optimizations, the bad poorly written bug reports (thank God for competent testers!). I, ALMOST, miss it
I might need to build some mods when 2.0 comes out just for kicks.

Same issue here, 1920x1080. Was working correctly before this version (at least 0.17.1, not sure if I tried it on 0.17.2)
