Re: Supply train: early inserters failure
It didn't sound like you were trying to report a bug, just trying to figure out how to make this work. A very easy way to set up your supply train is to reserve the bins in your cargo car for a particular item. Do this by middle clicking (default) and selecting the item you want reserved there. In y...

Re: Seeking assistance with depot parking management
Based on what you described, I would recommend either bigger depots or a stacker feeding your depots to get trains off the main line. I've found using the LTN Network ID function helps organize the train traffic immensely. In my last base, I used a base-wide LTN network and had traffic nightmares. I...

Re: Why aren't my oil fields dropping to 20%?
There's a lot of ambiguity in the oil's original design. Right now the % value you see on maps is really a field richness factor, and is not related to the 20% lower limit. That 20% limit is actually 20% -- the richness of your field will never drop below 1/5 of what it was at the beginning of the g...

Re: Requestor Threshold question
I knew I wasn't understanding what was happening, that's why I asked. My judgement was clouded because my other 80 or so LTN stops were working fine using the defaults. I asked because my LDS stops weren't working at all. Here's where I got confused. The graph labels the far left axis as "Stati...

Re: Requestor Threshold question
Requesters trigger when item count falls below request threshold. This is contrary to what is written in the manual and the graph in the manual. Please update if you agree it needs to be refreshed. (The forum posts don't update themselves :D ) Thanks for your quick response to my question. JD

Requestor Threshold question
First, I love using LTN. Since I've started installing LTN trains into my networks, I've greatly increased the efficiency of my rail networks and allowed everything to run better. I am currently using it on a new outpost-oriented base with a goal of 5KSPM. I'm about to turn on at 1.8K and work to in...

Re: Question - Is Inserter item drop position intuitive?
There's a difference between being logical/predictable versus how you want it. The inserter/belt interaction always resolves the same way. For straight belts that are pointing toward or away from an inserter, the item will be placed on the right side of the belt, based on the belt's motion. This inc...

Yes, but make it a "% full" and include pipes (or have pipes as an option).

Re: Worth it or not?
Nearly everyone on this forum will tell you they love the game. I downloaded the demo because I loved what I read about the game, almost didn't buy it because the missions were so terrible, watched a couple of videos to be able to say "yeah, it still looks like what I want" and bought it. ...

Re: Just bought the game; What were Your first impressions?
I bought the game in January. I went to the Steam store looking for addons to Civilization and saw a banner for Factorio. For me, the hook was the infinite world. I started looking at the screenshots and trailers and then downloaded the free sample game. I have to admit, I hated the free demo. There...
