Re: ptx0's LTN Tracker Mod Pack

I'm only trying to remind someone who's violating a FOSS license that they should not do it. There are two mistakes in that one statement: 1. he's not violating it ("Exceptions to the no modification rule include: Minor bug fixes/tweak for compatibility reasons") 2. it is not a FOSS licen...

Re: ptx0's LTN Tracker Mod Pack

So because someone doesn't immediately respond to hassle from randoms off the internet 1. "Immediately"? How much time should someone reasonably wait for a response? A week? Two weeks? A month? That person was inactive for half a year. 2. "Randoms off the internet"? One may argu...

Re: ptx0's LTN Tracker Mod Pack

Why are you assuming that author of LTN tracker doesn't want people on 0.18 to use his mod? I've found no such statement on forums, github or anywhere else. Because he put a freakin' license on it. Doh. Yes, and it allows minor modifications for compatibility reasons. Look, license is nothing but c...

Re: ptx0's LTN Tracker Mod Pack

You should stop distributing these mods, as you are violating the licenses. Let's show some respect for the authors who created them in their free times. Licenses are a technical detail which is for lawyers to argue. It can go either way. As far as respect goes, author of LTN tracker (eduran84) is ...

Re: Set chain signals to red via circuit network

The signal will close after the train. Not necessarily. Occasionally train inside a chain signal sequence repaths before now-closed circuit-controlled rail signal. When it happens - it stops right there with 'no path' flashing. Here are more details if you wish: https://forums.factorio.com/viewtopi...

[0.17.32] High CRC update time in multiplayer

We're doing a custom pvp scenario on an unlimited map completely filled with biters and mineable-wreckage. I'm trying to debug performance issues arising, among which there is something I couldn't figure out myself: CRC update time. crc-snip.PNG This time usage screenshot is made on 6 hour save ( li...

[Oxyd] [0.17.14] Desync on math.ceil(-0.5)

Run "/c game.print(tostring(math.ceil(-0.5)))". Result on linux: 0 Result on windows: -0 I would expect to get the same value in order not to desync multiplayer maps if this code is used in custom scenario. This may be somewhat relevant: https://forums.factorio.com/viewtopic.php?f=182&...
