Re: Friday Facts #406 - Space Age Music

Pretty awesome that you even put that much effort into music. Even tho its 'just a Factory building game'. Tbh I turned the music off after a while and just listened to my own, but I think I'll turn it back on for the expansion.

Re: Friday Facts #397 - Factoriopedia

That looks really great. Tho if I may, I'd suggest a name change to Factoripedia. Just easier on the tongue. I'd go with one of these: Encyclopedia Factoria If you're going that route, you gotta spell Encyclopædia . Encyclopædia Factœria Nah. I really like Encyclopedia Factoria tho. You have my sup...

Re: Friday Facts #389 - Train control improvements

The problem is that once the train decides to leave the station, it instantly clears the reservation of the train limit, while still physically blocking the stop. This lets another train start its journey toward the stop, while there might not be enough space to wait without blocking the mainline. ...

Ok that is absolutely amazing. New ressources, new crazy ways to obtain our beloved iron and copper and so on with new crazy drills and machines. It feels like you perfectly scratched that itch between overwhelming and exciting.

Map files

I still can't upload map files in the original post for some reason. So I'll just do it here. You'll need to put the map files here . Note: I changed the file names again. Found out just now that brackets are actually not supposed to be in save names. Sorry to everyone who downloaded the files with ...

Re: Friday Facts #384 - Combinators 2.0

God frickin damnit. That's insane changes for me at least. About half or even more of my playtime was spend on building games with combinators. And the amount of space I'm going to safe up is immersurable. That changes absolutely everything. But I am at least a little bit pissed you announced this c...

Re: Friday Facts #381 - Space Platforms

Ok that is a really interesting concept. Especially how they work like trains but with factories on them. And the item request thing from the home planet sounds really cool. I've never been a huge fan of how the space platforms look even in SE but I think I can work with that. Idk the fact they don'...

Re: Friday Facts #378 - Trains on another level

Hooo shit. Ok I think I need to change the way I think about this expansion pack. But this changes everything about what I thought Factorio could be. Also really nice to hear that Quality, elevated rails and Space Age are all seperate mods.

Re: Friday Facts #377 - New new rails

May I ask for very large radius rail curves, for aesthetic purposes? They look more natural. Also, current curves might require significant train slowdown, so large radii would be useful. And I'd like to have very small radius curves (excl. half diagonals for simplicity), and trains would pass them...

Re: Friday Facts #377 - New new rails

Did you resolve the track selection issue? I have an idea regarding track selection if you are still stuck. The problem I see is that directional controls via A D are quite limited. A solution I saw in a Minecraft mod called Chisel & Bits is a selection wheel around the cursor. Basically a segm...

Re: Friday Facts #377 - New new rails

Is it too much to be asking for signals to be part of the track? If you increase the amount of rails in a single shape for example: no signals 1 light 2 lights 1 chain 2 chains 1 light 1 chain then you should need to put logic in place that you can't put 2 signal rails on top of each other and sudd...

Re: Friday Facts #377 - New new rails

Holy crap that is incredible. You can split rails in two and have a 2 tile gab exactly in the center. That's a gamechanger. Never thought much of the rails except for how the curve doesn't really look as smooth with the straight piece in the middle. But even the curves look better now. And on top of...

Yes, because you have the ability to mod other mods' settings this way. :D Ohhh, so that's what settings-update.lua and settings-final-fixes is for, yeah? Can you hide settings from the player and change other mod's settings in the background? Yes. You can find more detail here: https://wiki.factor...
