Re: Perfect Nuclear Cloverleaf v5 - Space Age, Modular 1-4 cores book: 40-480MW, All the bells and whistles
What happens when you try place a BP which contain a tech you dont know yet ?
It puts down the BP without any warning, and the items do not get built.
Known buildings with an unknown recipe show a warning sign.
Well, there are several outcomes:
1. everything work as intended
2. everything ...

The BP would be really perfect if it did not require yellow science items. Nuclear power is available with blue science only but the build has purple and blue chests. Could you do without those? I know they are just illustrative but anyway, make it perfect!
I see. What happens when you try place ...

I also suggest one improvement to your description (which is already very concise):
If you want to use the power switch with the SR latch that only connects the plant to the main power grid when needed, you have to avoid any other connection between the inside power poles and substations to the ...

Yes. Filter gets out on first tick, so inserter is activated and start move. On second tick, the self-feedback creates the S virtual signal. Inserter gets S one tick later than Filter signal.Hares wrote: Tue Mar 11, 2025 7:27 am Am I correct that there's one tick delay between filter signal and stack size signal?

Re: Combinator cookbook 2.0
Unloading exact amount of items could take several combinators.
You might try this trick made by one decider.
I've read this three times and it stills looks like a dark magic to me.
Combinators could make your brain spin, isnt it ?
I made a screen rather than BP. I thought that it would be ...

Re: Filters overrides stack size
Applying filters on inserter also overrides stack
Using combinators is not always convenient due to the tick delay, and sometimes it is impossible when there are many signals.
The key to exact unloading is the ANY wildcard.

Steam has stable, and experimental branch. I think that new virtual signals are on experimental only.
Could you double check your current version ?
Start the game, look at left upper corner of the screen.

"reprocessing" as usually i prevent my ships from collecting too much, and thus no reprocessing is needed.
re-processing is not smart method to over-collecting
re-processing is a method how to get missing type of resource
Exactly ! that's why i don't usually do it, because it would ...

Hey mate,
The new BP is missing the fuel cell input control circuit and inserters etc etc
Hey mate,
I have found, a root-cause of your problem. Probably. You have to update Factorio to at least 2.34 which came up with the new virtual signals. I have used those signals in the input control ...

Re: Simple way to prevent asteroid collector from overfilling
I found an alternative way to prevent overfill
the exact same procedure to control the crushers too.
If i understand correctly that's a bit different in that you are not using the asteroid collector inner buffer to store the asteroid in a controlled fashion.
As long as storage space is ...

Well i tried at first to read the temperature on the "coldest core" but it didn't work out because i couldn't guarantee it would be the same one all the time. There could happen a modification or damage to the power plant that would make it either the left or the right be a little colder. And i ...

So you don't need to exactly produce 480 MW, so it's sufficient to not use a counter
In the updateed series for Space age, I said :
For nuclear on ship, one decider with no steam tank is the way.
Check the date of the quote 6th of Feb. No need to convince me it works. On a ship every tile ...
