Isn't it possible to get much higher UPS if there's no GUI/frames to be rendered? The whole framesyncing stuff can be omitted in that part of trying to catch up as far as I know. Might be quite a code change, but should at least be possible. The real question would be whether that would speed it up ...

I don't think that would work since the clients connection is already clogged up by downloading the full state/map so it'll miss (some) heartbeats.

about the speed though: I seem to consistently get about 1MB/s from the server, never have any problems with slow dl speeds...

doing a string of pings I see that the rtt is fine, but then there's also 20% packet loss, which might explain things :-/

There is a problem with the server. It keeps dropping us and refusing connections for a few minutes. Also connecting using p2p is completely impossible (same as two days ago). Can you check out what's the problem?

I managed to save it from the biters, but it seems daniel34 is having trouble getting back into his own server. He's getting the "peer is not responding: unkown username" thingy. Now I can't seem to join anymore.

I'll see tomorrow if he fixed it or not.

It continuously gives a desync error and starts to resend the map so that there's a desync loop.

Bisa restarted the server, but an hour into playing the server crashed. Let's hope we don't have to start over again. -- edit -- also bisa: there were some guys putting some pretty inflammatory things in there, drawing dicks and such. One guy kept boxing me in in walls and being annoying at 30'somet...

First time trying to update I get this error after it fetched all the packs.

After a second try it seems to download and update just fine. Not sure what went wrong there.

My instance is totally unable to download the scenario pack at all. I'm getting a 404 error. Maybe there's something wrong with the server (deleted files/misdirected files?)
