The overlays get darker. I'm guessing this is because there are actually two overlays being rendered?

Re: Friday Facts #160 - Playtesting

Great ideas here! I'd like to see a recycler for those lower-tiered items. Instead of merging items, I'd like to see a repairing system for your inventory that would use repair packs and slowly repair the items in the inventory. Something could be similar for a building that repairs things as well, ...

Question: Will there be a bottom drain for the fluid tank cars? Or will the liquid be pumped out of the top?

Does this mean you will not be supporting power switch connections?

I think it will be blocked off in this case. Like an oil refinery on basic with only one pipe connected.

Re: Friday facts #157 - We are able to eat paper, but we don't do it

I would store the decorations, if they changed every time they were loaded, it would confuse me "I don't remember that being there". You recognize the patterns of decorations to be different parts of your base, it could be a little confusing. Unless maybe they were regenerated according to...

[Oxyd] Aliens are slow at pathfinding accross 2 tile paths

I found this out when playing on the massive multiplayer Sep 20th. There was a very long 2 tile wide path through the water, coming out at the other end near a nest. Some aliens started chasing me, but stopped when I got to the path. I got closer, a spitter shot me, and a few figured out how to go t...

Re: Remove the loss of pressure as pipes get longer.

When using tanks remember one thing: Pump needs to always connect directly to tank. This is very important with modded tanks with much bigger capacities. This rule comes from fact that fluid flow seems to try and be proportional to volume of neighbouring entities. So if tank is 10% full (still 250 ...

Re: Remove the loss of pressure as pipes get longer.

I think the biggest problem with the fluid system is it's so hard to understand =/ Whether this is because it isn't simple or because it's not very well documented, I cannot say. I have briefly looked into it and I know it works off a pressure system but why (when supply is only a trickle) does it ...

Re: Remove the loss of pressure as pipes get longer.

Underground pipes count as two units, even at max length. This will push your network further. For extreme long distance nothing beats a train. Moving barrels does suck and there should be a better way, but it will work. I am trying to pump water through a pipe, and the pressure drops after like a ...

Re: [HanziQ] [0.14.6] Trains budge when: rail network changes, & every 3s

I have this issue as well, although I'm not adding/removing anything. In the example below, both trains are set to drive to the shown station (for a PAX station). The second train moves forward for a tick every ~5 seconds or so. Eventually it enters the other block and starts crashing into the first...

When holding a miner, uncovered resources are highlighted

So basically, when you hold a mining drill (or a blueprint with one), resource patches that don't have a drill on them get highlighted. This would prevent you from missing a square and having to go back and mine just that one. It would also help you search for the smaller (stone) patches if they are...

If you don't do this, maybe larger diameter pipes could be added? Ones that would greatly increase the throughput?

Remove the loss of pressure as pipes get longer.

I never liked this "feature", as pipes get longer, it requires more and more pumps on it to maintain a 10 pressure. See this: https://forums.factorio.com/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=6066 Unless you can make one pump fast enough to keep a 10 pressure (without needing many pumps), I'd rather get...

Re: Power Switch blueprint doesn't remember power line positions

We need the blueprint stuff to connect automatically, that is quite clear to me. But I agree, that these custom connections between pole and power switch could be saved in the blueprint. I think that any connections between blueprints (previously solved by autoconnections) could be fixed by overlap...

Nuclear Weapons

With the addition of nuclear power, I'd like to see nuclear weapons as well. I'm thinking there would be the warhead, which you could put inside a missile, or a bomb which could be placed somewhere to blow up with a countdown timer. The missile ones could be built in a similar fashion as the rocket ...
