Player/Cargo teleporters?
Are there mods for this? I'm thinking along the lines of top tier structures that let you move quickly over arbitrary distances. Such structures might work like so: Cargo Teleporter - Links two points in space. - Two inventory slots, In and Out. - Charges up, using high energy (1MW, 10-20 sec) - Tel...

How is an AI going to know what you want to build or what resources you need or where you need extra defense?
The closest thing to a useful AI are drones.

Re: Are Electirc Furnaces an upgare (to steel)?
Electric Furnace Pros: - Renewable with solar power. - More efficient|fast with efficiency modules. - Less pollution with modules. - No coal conveyors. No need to worry about coal at all. Saves lots of space and headache. - Easy to establish smelters to process at mining sites. Just run power lines....

Re: Cargo wagons need more slots
In truth it is all the other inventories which are WAY too big. It is trivial to store the contents of an ENTIRE mine with only a handful of trees. The player and vehicle inventories are similarly very large- a player is never strained for inventory space while the latter lets them haul an entire su...

A simple and user friendly tweak to the tech tree. Obviously this won't make sense if the science pack materials change, but for now it's a +1.

Re: Storing energy as hydrogen (and oxygen)
Factorio is VERY forgiving when it comes to a poorly set up factory. Movement belts wait patiently, factories shut down, and wasted idle energy is nearly non existent. If a factory is set up poorly, the only real harm that happens is the factory doesn't produce well. An energy storage that requires ...

Re: Guarantee resources in starting area
I'll have to agree on this one. The player almost immediately needs all four major resources (water, coal, iron, copper), and they can be separated by fairly large distances. Adding a small patch of each within the starting area would be nice.

Re: Storing energy as hydrogen (and oxygen)
Three questions: 1) Why is cold hydrogen better? 2) Why is cold water used to make hydrogen better? Cold water is an unlimited free resource. 3) Why does this also generate electricity THREE WAYS? First the hydrogen is made, then it is cooled, producing hot water for energy, then it is cooked, produ...

Re: More Armor modules
Often when multiple suggestions are posted together, they form a coherent vision. You mean like MORE ARMOR MODULES? Kinetic charger probably wouldn't work with the idea of the exoskeleton Yeah. So? One costs energy for speed, the other sacrifices speed for energy. They conflict so DON'T USE BOTH! E...

Re: Storing energy as hydrogen (and oxygen)
Because there are already ways produce, store, and renew energy. The only thing left to do is make a more confusing production chain for bigger power numbers.

You can also store solid fuel from processed oil. Oil is a source of unlimited power, and remains fairly decent even with a depleted pump.

Re: [Request] ELECTRIC BOILER
Also ther CAN'T be an infinite loop, only if the system where to be perfect, which is utopia. Yes. That is exactly my point. The instant an electric boiler is turned on, it immediately becomes an energy sink as it draws LOTS of power to make LESS power. That's why electric boilers are not used for ...

Re: [Request] ELECTRIC BOILER
Boilers dont produce Electricity they produce heat. You're mixing up Boilers and Engines. Engines change heatenergie to electricalenergie, boilers change fuelenergie to heatenergie. Electricalboilers woulden't they would be useful, the would need the same amount of energie input that they would out...

There's nay such thing as too many ideas. Some are good, some are less good. That's just how it works. I appreciate hearing that player logistics will get stronger in the future. Anyway. Kinetic charger probably wouldn't work with the idea of the exoskeleton, they're mutually exclusive ideas, becaus...

Re: [Request] ELECTRIC BOILER
An electric boiler is DANGEROUS. Why? Because boilers PRODUCE electricity. They should not consume electricity to make electricity. Then you just have an infinite energy sink. Why would you want an electric boiler? The only possible use is to cook excess solar power and store it in a steam tank. Thi...

Re: balancing the tank (and other small things)
A tank with shields and laser turrets would be a sight to behold. Vehicle modules could work out well since a friggin TANK ends up weaker than a space marine in power armor. On second thought, what if player modules could plug into the tank? So a player can add their own laser turrets and shielding ...

Re: Bot Exclusion Zones
How is it that you're managing to build a logistic system that is both incredibly efficient and so grand sweeping that you have to worry about drones crossing into horrific no-bot lands? The only reason for a bot exclusion zone is so that drones don't risk themselves flying between distant bases. If...

Re: Diesel. Liquid fuel instead of solid fuel
That isn't acting as fuel, the energie source lies within the boilers, which burn carbon in form of Wood Coal or Solid fuel. How so? The water goes through processing so it can provide energy. It can be stored and piped and saved for a rainy day. Just like fuel. Anyway my point is that you CAN hack...
