Re: finally finished

Didn't use any buffer depots. Don't like how the function. Few tips: - chain as many processes as possible (don't move grade 1 to process to grade 2 then 3 by drones). Build those processes as one unit and only move finished products and as few intermediate as possible. - liquids are not as efficien...

Re: finally finished

I've had ~10 previous play throughs with each getting further and further (last 3 or 4 was at production or utility science) so first part of the game I've gone through quite fast. Didn't take me long to get through blue science. The biggest time saver is using drones mods. Transportation drones are...

finally finished

After ~10 attempts and giving up further each time was finally able to push through and finish. Took "only" 280 hours, but with prior attempts was able to quickly move through first few science packs and a bit "cheating" with mining drones and transport drones. Entire base logist...

how do you trigger victory screen? I'm already producing space space using quantum computers and have researched all non-repeating space science and have not gotten victory screen.

when is the next version coming?

I'd be happy to help test. Have quite a bit of PY experience with many playthroughs.

Re: Other global modpacks in ascending order of difficulty from vanilla to Py

I would agree with below list, but put bob+angel after IR2 and add Omni after B&A.
SE get challenging in later phases vs B&A or PY change the game drastically from the beginning.

Re: The first Nichrome recipe is an outlier in terms of efficiency

That is very common with PY. To get to the first stage of production, it's very inefficient. That forces you to do first level of research at slow pace, then research what's required to transition to something more efficient. Once you get to molten chromium & nickel, nichrome is easy to get, but...

Re: Victory!

3) I mentioned Bio Batteries, and they were a thorn in my side. These things are used like crazy, especially when upgrading my robots. They go into the circuits as both circuit board substrates and as the fault current inductor, then into the robots as superconductors for the superconducting servom...

Re: Power options at green science

I just use a ton of regular boilers with raw coal. Run power cables far away from my base so it's not in a way, find large raw coal patch, and build there (I had I think 400-500 boilers when I was at that stage). Once I get MK2 turbines, then I change that to use hydrogen production + biomass (use m...

Re: Next big reliase approximate date?

Mostly salt, then guts and blood. A tiny bit from an ancient process when tar could be created from stone. So far used 191 M salt and produced 246M HCl. yea salt is the way to go atm the most salt efficient way is through the Na2SO4 process , a 2 step process that needs salt and H2SO4 , this is the...

Re: Next big reliase approximate date?

What do you do to get hydrogen chloride? That is my biggest struggle in later game. I seem to need so much of it and easiest way is only as by product of anything that needs lots of sold (sulfates or sodium hydroxide). Chlorine seems so expensive from alien creatures (blood or guts). I'm at utility ...

Re: Next big reliase approximate date?

With full py alien life, I'm just trying to do 1/sec (60 per min). For 1k/min, that's almost 17 per seconds, you'd need massive infrastructure for that or have everythiing upgraded to mk4 with mk4 modules.

Re: pY Alien Life - Discussion

Is it okey that the caged auogs and caged ulrics have stack size 500? Another caged animals have stack size 50 And stack size of empty cages is 50 all to be balanced in the next big release that will break everything. oh no. Every big update I "have" to restart my base to as it's easier t...

I'm on my third game through production science and each time I restart when big updates come out and my entire factory just stops. I like the initial stage better anyways, but I don't think I'll ever finish with those constant updates :-) Haven't updated since ~September and just got my production ...

Re: pY Petroleum Handling

Restarted new map and got bigger quartz ores after changing settings.

For bitumen seeps, are they supposed to be limited in size? I have 6 of those nodes with each showing amount of of ~1000-1200 (all my ores in that vicinity are in 50-60M) and I had settings for bitumen seeps fairly rich.

Re: pY Petroleum Handling

Haven't play py in few months and started new game and don't see tar and oil either. Is that by design now? Also, only see very small quartz patch around me and explored a bit and don't see more quartz, is that also by design? Is there a good changelog/faq with recent changes over the last 2 or 3 mo...

Re: pY Alien Life - Discussion

Is there a chart or description somewhere what are the different animals and plant used for?
What I'm looking for is recommendation what each animal is good for with yields for full render or individual.
