Re: Friday Facts #377 - New new rails
What if I woke you up from your dream since the beginning of the post and told you this is reality? I'd be briefly surprised and then immediately skeptical whether it's actually useful since you can't fit any signals between the tracks. I've always kinda just accepted rails being the way they were ...

Re: Friday Facts #376 - Research and Technology
Will you add an aerial / air / flying transport or will you touch that topic in some of the next FFF? You could write in the FFF "No, we will not add that, and that's why—" Here is one of the ideas on the air cargo transportation in the real world: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZjBgEkbn...

Re: Friday Facts #375 - Quality
Names & colors are a direct copy from World of Warcraft. I am not seeing people notice this. I prefer this to changing them for no reason. Baldurs Gate 3 changes Epic to Very Rare but otherwise uses them exactly. It's hard to notice because there's a million other games that also use this exact...

Crazy to think it's been over 10 years and the factory still grows.
Appreciate the expansion tease, but I can make out just about nothing except angel's-style casting?
Anyways, happy new year!

Re: 2022 Mod Portal Survey
The weirdest part of that question to me is how 1 stands for "Needs most improvement" and 5 stands for "Needs least improvement"
Surely 5 means the improvement is most dire?

And to those who want to pay less than $30: It is like a nature's law that there will be a sale one day or another. If you only want to spend $20, then you can do it. Just wait for a special offer. Well then this game breaks natural laws because it's never had a sale in the 9 years it's been availa...

Re: Friday Facts #367 - Expansion news
I have seen a number of people raging that the expansion is going to cost more than the base game. so here is a little comparison: Factorio: Base £21, Expansion £30 Stellaris: Base £35, DLC £145 Civ 6: Base £50, DLC £127 Rimworld: Base £28, DLC £43 Oxygen not included: Base £19, DLC £11 (all prices...

Re: Friday Facts #367 - Expansion news
Ohhh this seems like a violent type of expansion. That would be cool. The general goal is to make the expansion feel like as big an addition as the whole vanilla game. This is why we plan to price it at $30.00, and put in enough content to make it well worth the price. This means that for a new play...

Re: I won't be kept silent about this forgotten gem: Liquid Mechanics Rework
The UPS improvements were only a part of the planned changes. It was more about getting liquid flow to be more predictable - like making pipe build order not matter. That ain't happening. And build order doesn't matter in 99% of the cases. If fluid evaluation order is somehow breaking some design, ...

I think you may be referring to Dominik's attempt at overhauling the fluid system? He left the company before he could finish.

Re: Friday Facts #365 - Future plans
I want clearly a weather aspect more important in the game. There should be rainy days with less solar production. Even better with regional affects, which makes desserts more effective for solar. And changing wind direction, which influences the direction of pollution, making it more unpredictable...

Guys I know it's exciting and you want show your support and interest in the expansion, but please don't forget Wube sells games, not cheap GME stock. You don't get anything out of buying in early. They haven't let us down yet, but you never know. Always remember: 742482_b.jpg If there is a preorder...

Yeah that's kinda what I came here to say. HOWEVER We... alread...

Oh I had to jog my brain a bit here to understand how quickbar works and what the change was... I don't use it at all. Just for grenades, poison and poisson 8-) But now that we're being promised new options, an idea: you know how you can set the amount of quickbars in the options? Make it go down to...

I love the main menu scene where the character chases a biter offscreen, and then comes back being chased by a horde of biters.
I don't know if it's just a generic cartoon gag, but it reminded me of Prehistorik 2.
