Re: Factorio price variations
With Steam, they take a 20-30% cut depending on revenue. Buying directly, it could be a several percent credit card fee.

Re: Can't understand hate for handcrafting and love for early malls
Coming from someone who has probably handcrafted low five-figures of items since I bought the game, I definitely get the appeal lol. But ultimately building the automation is like eating your vegetables. It might be a bit tedious but you're multiplying your handcrafting power by many, many times, an...

Re: Looking for a new challenge? [Veterans only]
Looking for something extra spicy, complete with a story arc of vengeance and building a vast cosmic empire? K2/SE/Rampant, and have your home planet with maxed out biter settings. I play it with the following storyline/overarching plan: survive getting to launching yourself into space, fleeing Nauv...

You could charge >$100 for this game and it would still be well worth it. Wube has clearly demonstrated their value. Does anyone really care about $5? i don't get the point of these comments. they have their feelings and you have yours. did you think you would change their mind with that question? ...

I'm going to pretend as if the expansion is much nearer completion, and this was a move for people to shut the hell up asking about it.

Re: what settings are you going to play when the expansion is released?
I prefer a railworld/deathworld hybrid with lowest frequency, and large size/richness. This is what I'm doing currently with K2/SE and its brutally fun. But the first time the expansion loads on my PC... I'm going straight to redmew or some high pop vanilla server to experience it with other people....

Re: 'Body Horror' or 'Shock Value' for expansion aliens is a bad direction.
I don't know if it has been mentioned before, but why is that preview of this jellyfish like creature so comparatively grotesque? Looks like it has mammaries, too.
