If an update was released or you got a mod that changed how the world generation worked, would you need a new world or could you see the effects just by going out into the unexplored part of your map?

Hi and welcome on this forum. Tbh, I don't think it would add much to the gameplay value. You'd just end adding a lightening rod and some kind of protection from rain on every building as soos as you have the technology, which should be very early, so why not include the rod and the protection dire...

The aliens in the game aren't really seen as being intelligent beings, so it wouldn't make much sense for them to be able to research stuff.
