Re: Friday Facts #218 - Import bpy, Export player
Blue, green, and red cars look WAAYYY better at alpha 1.0 than 0.5. Please let players select alpha values - if something looks bad we can always pick a different alpha value. I don't want to be limited to those super-pale colors. Other than that, excellent FFF, thank you very much for all your grea...

Re: know how to make nuclear reactor but...
For some strange reason, the planet has no wind. Also, there are no clouds, as solar power is always the same.
Hmm, considering the subtle moving-cloud-shadows overlay that is added to the rendered view, neither of the above makes sense...

Re: Inserters should wait with full hands, instead of empty
The inserter is ordered to grab something when the place where the something is needed asks for it. And that's totally OK How can the inserter know what item will be needed the next time an item will be needed ? Yeah, I clearly didn't think this through, sorry for that. Of course it could be made t...

Inserters should wait with full hands, instead of empty
TL/DR Inserters should wait with items in hand, instead of with empty hands. Description of Change I propose to make the inserter always grab items immediately, even if the assembly machine has the required amount of items, but then wait with inserting them into the assembly machine until it has us...

Re: Out of curiousity
Thank you for the information. It helped me a lot :) Was my topic really that bad? I mean, I was curious, hence the title. It didn't have any big sense of priority. Nevertheless, thank you again :) Well, personally I don't think it's that big of a deal, but without a informative thread title (one t...

Re: Prebuild linux servers
Hello, Yes there are the binarys but If we have like prebuilded package you download it Make tar -xzf ans then make ./startup.sh and finish :D But that's already how it works? Now I don't remember if there is an actual startup.sh, but it's easy to make yourself. Or create a launcher/shortcut on you...

What exactly are you asking for? There are binary tarballs available for download - extract and run the game, done.

Incompatible Version - with 0.15.18 [SOLVED]
I am just starting out with modding. I have created the basic directoyr structure with info.json (see below) and empty control.lua and data.lua. { "name": "ConstructionAssistant", "version": "0.1", "title": "Construction Assistant", "a...

This was one of the things that keeps bugging me, but when I am about to make a suggestion here I keep forgetting all of those small things. Thanks for reminding me!

I find the Cut+Paste suggestion especially valuable, it would make refactoring a base so much easier.

Re: Missing Research Requirements fix [0.15]
For me this is a non-issue (and it took me a while to even understand what the OP was about). When I want to research something, I look at the science pack requirements. If it requires a science pack I don't already produce, I check how to build the science pack first. everything after that comes na...

I like this very much. I worry that some people will say this makes construction bots redundant, but personally I hope that this gets implemented exactly as you suggest!

Re: Version 0.15.12
After playing with it we decided that the switch was too far out When players would try to inspect the actual map, to see map tags, labels, to read ore patches etc. it would switch to zoom to world before being able to see the map information. This information, such as turret range, electric networ...

Re: Version 0.15.11
On a 4k monitor, it's now painfully close in map view. Noticeable to the point where you're zoomed in far closer then you'd naturally be zoomed in (IE: far closer then you'd be zoomed in, when playing without being in map mode). [edit]I should clarify, on a *large* 4k monitor (IE: 43")[/edit] ...

Re: Poll: Offshore Pump Should Need Energy
I have a real hard time with this one. On the one hand, yes, this really does bug me a lot. Everytime I build a pump it feels a bit like cheating. The extra complication of having to deliver power to the pumpt would not bother me one bit. What would bother me is that I wouldn't be able to stop think...

Hot damn - and here I thought this guy really botched up the spelling of "accidental". What really bugs me is that I should have recognized the latin :/Psycho0124 wrote:Aleatory - adjective - depending on the throw of a dice or on chance; random.
Nice. Learned a new word. Thanks!
