Sounds like a great idea for a mod. Iād guess most elements might be possible.

Do biters only attack pollution?
In many videos, it seems the player makes a point to kill the biter nests out beyond the reach of pollution. If no biter nests are hit by pollution, does that mean you wonāt ever be attacked?

Re: Blueprints disappear into the ether
Thank you for the file name for the blue prints.
The very confusing part about blue prints is it doesnāt seem very well documented how it is supposed to work. So, it is just a lot of trial and error.

They may not spawn in new maps. But you will end up with these impossible to see ponds quite often now when using landfill, I think.

Blueprints disappear into the ether
Are there any tips you can offer for disappearing blueprint books? I started a game with a blueprint book containing a dozen blueprints. Then, in the process of playing the game, I noticed the blueprint book had completely disappeared. I tried loading multiple save games but could not find it. Very ...

Re: Friday Facts #225 - Bots versus belts (part 2)
Key game design flaw = all items have zero mass If the game were altered so that all items had real world mass values, then one possible solution to bots versus belts would be saying that larger mass items require more bots. Then, we might ābuffā belts by allowing belts to continue ignoring mass. If...

Remove beacons...
In an earlier post, someone remarked that bots allow more beacons than you can fit with belts. Simple solution: remove beacons. But letās say you want to keep beacons for some reason. What solution would allow maximum beacons if you chose to use belts instead of bots?

Re: How to be warned of item shortages?
I think there are definitely some tricks to setting the right thresholds for stuff. I was watching one YouTube video where someone connected the speaker to the transport belt at the end of the coal line fueling the boilers. Halfway through the video, he was out of coal but never heard the speaker go...

There isn't much interest in mods that remove stuff. If you don't want to use logistic bots, then simply don't research them. Or, research them and don't use them.Blahbla wrote:I would be a lot happier with the game if the logistics bots were removed. Maybe someone will make a mod of it?

Re: Any way to search for 'Heat Exchanger' in crafting menu?
We would hope the GUI re-write would contain the ability to show results from all tabs. In my case, I must have been on Logistics tab. When I saw the 'Arithmetic Combinator' result, my first--and last--thought was that Search is irrevocably broken. So, yeah, I definitely hope they revisit search in ...

Any way to search for 'Heat Exchanger' in crafting menu?
I'm trying to figure out what I need to build for a nuclear reactor. It looks like one of the items I need to construct a lot of is the heat exchanger. I have no idea how to make it. So, I thought I would try searching for it. I press 'E' to bring up the crafting menu. Then, I click the magnifying c...

Re: Cliffs :(
I first encountered a tiny cliff that looked just like normal terrain but that my car couldnāt run over. This was incredibly frustrating until I realized this was actually a single grid sized cliff!! I ended up halting play on that game and started a new game with cliffs disabled. I donāt think they...

Re: What is Control-Left Click on Toolbar?
You can click with the middle mousebutton on your inventory and toolbar to set a filter for that specific item. Then it is also easier to have items stay where they belong. Thanks for the reply! Yes, I do that for most of the 20 slots. But then when I start the mass upgrade of belts from yellow to ...

Thanks again! You rock!Momus wrote:Well, the ability to throw all the stuff away from inventory is pretty helpful, it is just not so obvious that you got to "quick-transfer"-click on empty slot for that.

Re: What is Control-Left Click on Toolbar?
That's a quick transfer. Try this with some container opened - this allows you to transfer all items in or out. With no containers it transfers between your backpack and quick toolbar Thanks! I use this all the time on containers but hadn't really thought about what it does when applied to the tool...

What is Control-Left Click on Toolbar?
In every game I play, I always run into this. I'm in a hurry trying to clear a filter on a toolbar slot. I'll accidentally Control-Left click on a slot twice. The first click, greys out the item in the slot but still shows the item. The second control-left greys out ALL toolbar slots. Then, I have t...

Seriously though, I wouldnāt expect to see a release until end of day Friday in Prague which I assume would be noon or later Saturday in various parts of Australia?
