Don't forget that although bonus-icon.png is kind of unimportant, it shows up quite a lot in the tech tree.

Re: [0.18.33] High GUI update time with production window open

It's the same problem on any production-stats style GUI. They're all fixed. Was something broken or was something able to be tweaked like the sound slider not updating at every increment, but only upon saving settings? Just interesting to hear the background on oddballs like these, if you don't mind.

Re: Friday Facts #350 - Electric mining drill redesign

It looks amazing! Cant wait to see it in the game. The old design looked indeed more like a field harvester :D "Harvester"? Yeah, C&C Remastered is on my mind, too! Yeah, the different colors of debris/smoke for different ores is a nice touch. Will the burner be updated to do the same?

Re: Version 0.18.29

The new engine icon is excellent! It and the electric motor really have the right feel to their names now.

Yeah, it wasn't appropriate for the engine all by itself, but it was really nicely made!

Re: Version 0.18.26

There is a hidden config setting you can change to allow it still (in config.ini) Where is it hiding!? Ok, now I know I'm not crazy. I've experienced this before when the cache-prototype-data option was included. It wasn't in my config.ini for quite some time. Now I can reproduce it. New options do...

Re: Make the windows start tile scale to the tile size

The devs can do it in a matter of minutes in VS2019:

Decided to make my own tiles for some batch files and found out it's very easy.

Re: Auto trash slots

The slider on the left is for requests; the slider on the right is auto trash for anything over the set number. If you want to auto trash all coal and never have it in inventory, move the right slider all the way to the left, which will make both numbers zero. If you want to auto request 100 copper ...

0.18 - nice map load time!

I haven't played single player in many months, but it seemed like maybe my map was loading faster than I remembered in 0.17. It's not huge, but it was noticeable enough for me to check the verbose logging: 0.17.79 2.788959 2.836322 2.795908 0.18.21: 2.578165 2.570029 2.565477 (I didn't do all three ...

Re: Windows Headless Server Autoupdater (I made it, I'm not asking for it)

Works well in a real-world scenario. It received the 0.18.20 and 0.18.21 updates earlier in the day, automatically, and I just connected to my server from my 0.18.21 client without having to touch the server. Attached is the log from my autoupdater. It checks for updates every 5 minutes (timestamps ...

Windows Headless Server Autoupdater (I made it, I'm not asking for it)

Wanted to share what I made for myself. There isn't a plug&play solution. A little setup legwork is required, so don't expect the ideal solution...this is the only solution I know of though, and I did hours of troubleshooting already. It uses narc0tiq's python-based updater I found, and I made a...

Re: [0.18.2] Wood mining/chopping sound stops harshly; one sound stutters

We made some changes in 0.18.3, and will continue to make changes anyway to the sounds Moving this to resolved Both sound problems still exist as of 0.18.6 and I haven't seen any changelog mention of attempted fixes, either. Because of "will continue to make changes anyway", I'm not sure ...

[0.18.2] Wood mining/chopping sound stops harshly; one sound stutters

mining-wood-3.ogg cuts off too harshly. It's better (but still not very good) when played outside of the game. With the significant db reduction within the game, mining-wood-3.ogg sounds like it was cut short before the sound was actually finished playing. mining-wood-4.ogg sounds like it stutters....

Re: Version 0.18.0

Is the data caching going to be implemented in 0.18? I love the immersion changes--new/tweaked/higher-fidelity background music when loading the game, various sound effects, and the moving trees and water! The trees really make the game seem less static and more alive. The color changes look nice, a...

Re: Website bug: trippy flickery menus

One approach, which doesn't drastically alter the look from how it is now, is to change in factorio.min.js: $(".custom-dropdown").hover(function() { $(this).children("ul").stop(true, true).slideDown(300) }, function() { $(this).children("ul").stop(true, true).slideUp(30...
