Re: Stop Rock Abuse
While I can't actually get as excited about it as you, I agree that rocks should serve some purpose even if that purpose is to give you some stone when you destroy it. Might make a nice early-game influx of stone for furnaces. Destroy one, get 5-10 furnaces' worth of stone or so.

Re: Home Key
Actually one cool idea that wouldn't involve teleporting to "home" would be if you - for instance - held the "home" key down your character would run or drive (depending on your current state) directly toward a spot you designated, pathing around lakes and structures, and maybe e...

Sweet. I was hoping I could finish my current world before the next major update, and now it looks like I can. Well, if I actually do it and don't just futz around with robots and biters all week

I rush so fast to get out of the burner phase, I think I end up spending longer in it simply because I refuse to make more burner anythings

Re: favourite factorio feature?
Very much this. It seems really obvious that the devs really love playing this game and every time they can't do something they want to do, they code it in. And then we benefitDedlySpyder wrote:I love how every little QoL thing I can think if is in the game.

Re: favourite factorio feature?
I like how it's far easier to list the stuff that you CAN'T automate, than the stuff you CAN. I know that's basically saying "I like Factorio" but there it is :D I found myself in all other sandboxy building games getting annoyed that I had to hand-build everything, or hand-feed ingredient...

I can't get mods because I can't get the mod manager because I can't get java 8 because I don't have a job. Can I get a direct link to download java 8 from somebody? What does not having a job have to do with not getting Java? It's free. I've never modded Factorio so don't know the details of that,...

Re: [IDEA] Randomizing the ingredients and times for factories
Another problem i see is people restarting over and over because they don't like the map generation, or they don't like the recipes. I don't see this as a problem. If someone downloads and installs a mod and then goes out of his or her way to circumvent that mod's main purpose, then why are they do...

Re: What inspired you to buy Factorio?
It'd been on my radar forever. I finished Darkest Dungeon (beat it 3 times, boo-yah) and No Man's Sky's delayed, so I had a Game Hole to fill. I looked through my Steam Watch List and remembered being intrigued but not totally sold by a very early version of it. I watched a couple YouTube let's play...

Re: Inventory size upgrade
You're in luck.
"The inventory space was running out in the later game, so we made the armor give the character an inventory size bonuses (up to 30)."
I'd link to the post but I get "You are not allowed to post URLs in your first post on this forum!"
