Re: What do you do with your wood?

The obvious answer would be to use concrete ties as alternative ingredient. With the current biome sizes the next dense forest shouldn't bee to far away though. I wish we had a biome size setting to get really huge deserts. Well then. When it comes to biomes I actually think that they require a lot...

Re: Read requests from logistic network

Is it possible to read outstanding requests from the logistic network into the circuit network? I'm currently trying to connect two distant logistic networks via trains and a circuit network Well, what you can do is move stuff if the destination's chests are at <X items, but I don't think there's a...

Re: Logistics Robots to craft and upgrade chain

What I do is this:

And then I have a storage chest elsewhere. Requester chests will demand things from storage chests first, so those get recycled first.

It puts a touch more demand on the bot network, but it's a lot simpler.

Re: Too much petroleum gas

What'd I do if I were you is install black market. It allows you to sell resources you produce too much of for ingame currency (U) that you can then buy other things with using special tanks and chests for items/liquids, making factorio a HELLUVA LOT SIMPLER...... Like seriously..... with bob's mod...

Re: Bob's Mods - where's the salt?

Yeah, I'm running into that too. I go find out what I need, see what it entails on the wiki, then see if I have researched it. I'm finding more often than not that I have and the recipe doesn't exist, like with the salt beforehand. I think this game is a write-off, even after all the work I've done...

Re: What do you do with your wood?

I just keep using the small electric poles, as with the over-supply of wood, they are essentially free, unlike the medium ones that cost 2 steel. And the medium poles don't really help in coverage in most my building situations. (But now I'm playing with bobs mods, and my robots are clearing whole ...

It's not a perfect ratio, but...meh. I will say this is the most stone brick I've ever placed on the ground.

The insanity of Angels Ores

http://imgur.com/a/hsZeJ http://i.imgur.com/woNdEV5.jpg For those of you who are not familiar with Angel's mods, it completely reworks how ores work. Instead of mining something up and tossing it directly into a smelter, you must first crush the ores, and then toss them into a smelter to get your pl...

Re: Swimming in Quartz

Hey, I don't know if there's a good option for this, but I've found that Quartz is way too plentiful. I'm still in the mid game of Bob's (just made green circuits) and I've got a nearly full ore silo of Quartz, and the stack size is 2000. That's over 200,000 quartz, while still struggling on other ...

Re: Development and Discussion

My question: is nitric waste water used in anything other than purifying into pure water and a bit of mineral water? If not, I'm just going to void it in a bunch of boilers, because it's just not worth the hassle right now and I can get infinite of both of those things with ease.

Re: [MOD 0.14] Squeak Through 1.1.5

This mod is completely unnecessary for an otherwise vanilla playthrough, imo...at least, not with the way I play. It's not even all that helpful in bob's mods, where there's only 20 or so fluids in all, most of which aren't going to go very far and it...so it doesn't do much. But add angels on top o...

Re: [0.12.x][v0.12.1] Bob's Greenhouse mod

Just starting with Bob's mods and I got to the part where I'm trying to use the greenhouse. Odd thing is that if I have seedlings on a belt and a regular inserter trying to put them into the greenhouse, nothing happens. The recipe in the greenhouse is selected, and it lets me manually put seedlings...

Hello, is it a bug, that bopower acccumulators dont work wth bobpower poles? When i try make solar farm or isolation, using bobpowerk Mk* poles, accumulators doesnt charge. But when fulled accums connected to network without steam engines with any substation or MK poles, they dont discharge, but gi...

Re: [0.14.x] Bob's Mods: General Discussion

In angel's you need Coal processing 1 for carbon iirc. To actually make it you need to crush coal into crushed coal (ore crusher). Then cook the crushed coal into coke (furnace). then process the coke into carbon with carbon dioxide (liquifer for both carbon and C02). Questions should probably be a...

Re: [0.14.x] Bob's Mods: General Discussion

I'm currently running the basic oil processing (with sulfur) and I have a gigantic surplus of sulfur. Maybe I'm doing it wrong but I'm producing way more plastic and other products than I'm consuming in sulfur. Laser turrets, accumulators, and blue science eat far more sulfur than they eat plastic ...

Just wanted to comment on universal fluid barreling and rail tanker cars. I feel like this should be an either/or thing, I've wanted universal fluid barreling for quite some time, but having rail tanker cars imo invalidates fluid barreling completely. Why fuss with barrels at all when you can just ...

After running out of sulfur and batteries, I drew up a diagram regarding all sulfur sources and oil processing in general, and...might I recommend changing the coal->heavy oil recipe into coal->(raw) oil, or otherwise providing a way to get sulfur out of it? With your change to sulfur (receiving sul...

I'm in love with these. SO MUCH FIDDLING! Ridiculously wide main bus? Check. Ridiculously messy initial factory? Check. Needing robots just to keep the factory under control? check. Needing to devise new ways to modify the "main bus" design? Check. Unnecessarily devising a completely jam-p...
