I trying to build small bases and I would say Efficiency modules help a lot to save on space and minimize power usage. I try to avoid Solar power, as it's too space consuming and looks ugly.

I disagree with OP. I would rather see more use for iron sticks (as other wrote - concrete). The same goes for wood - I would love to see wooden walls and wooden floors.

Then introduce also chromium, nickel and titanium ore. Smelt the proper stainless steel in the furnace. If you miss the ratio, it will rust or break.

IMHO it should be for loading only and interact only with chests and trains.

Power consumption is debatable.

I would like to see some kind of a plow on the train, so it can push to the side any mobs it can't run over, without loosing too much speed. I'm a couple of hours into 0.15 on standard settings and I haven't been attacked yet. However I changed the spawner spreading significantly (I hate when the map turns all red) and I blamed it on that. I'm sacrificing the min-maxing for practicalities. I'm more willing to have some assemblers under-used than fiddle with some awkward layouts.

But maybe at some point I will try to get to those perfect setups...

I wish burner inserters could pick coal from the furnaces to feed themselves...

Does this mean you can unload the labs with inserters into a crate as well?

Similar to some other people in this thread, I take more engineering than math approach. I won't bother with perfect radio of it's getting the job done.

I would welcome some more "chaos", like random breakdowns, slow downs or damaged items, so it resembles real life more accurately.
