The migration logic for prototypes being removed isn't applied correctly for mod references so a recipe you removed (either by removing a mod or updating it) is now invalid and it crashes trying to use it. You've got a mod that's changing the character build distance/reach distance. It's as simple as that. Its not. I have long-reach yes. But then either its a bug that I can't access all chests/buildings, or that I can access them (only) with the module in hand. Either way, something doesnt work like ...

I'm pretty sure that when Klonan said it's not a bug, he meant that if it doesn't happen in vanilla, but does happen with a mod (or a combination of mods), then it's not a bug in vanilla. ok, seems like its a mod-related issue. I just tried to recreat the problem with a vanilla-load of my savegame and it doesnt work anymore. I believe I've fixed the problem for 0.16. I think one or more of the mods you're using is calling reset_technology_effects on research completion which is fired inside the reset technology effects function causing an infinite loop. I have gathered all configs , mods , most other files from %appdata%/Factorio/ and the savegame in a .zip file, its 500mb so I uploadet it on my webspace ; see the link below.
