Re: Version 0.16.1
Great work, nice and responsive. I was so happy to see the new version today. I switched beta trees in steam and downloaded... Starting Factorio... 2% 2% 2% 2% 2% 2% 2% hmm... might be a problem here... I had to run some errands before I could report it... and a fix was ready to download when I was ...

Thanks Wube!
Now, I just can't wait for my other package under the tree... a t-shirt!!! (I wonder how long it takes to ship one from Prague to the US)

Re: Friday Facts #220 - The best Friday Facts ever
Wow! The time difference is much larger than I thought. It is still Monday in Texas!! Seriously though, I wouldn’t expect to see a release until end of day Friday in Prague which I assume would be noon or later Saturday in various parts of Australia? Here in the US, we sometimes consider Texas a se...

Re: Friday Facts #220 - The best Friday Facts ever
So, with the expectations of 0.16 coming out this week... Is the current version of the Roadmap accurate? I know you mentioned the terrain generation and cliffs being part of it earlier in this thread. With all the excitement of the Artillery Train, I would expect that too... What about the belt opt...

Re: Factorio T-shirts store now open
$10 is a little high for shipping in the US as well. However, this is international shipping, not domestic and that is a big difference. A geek website I frequent wants $29 for a t-shirt... that is before shipping. So the price of $30 for t-shirt and shipping is good. I did not hesitate when I order...

I got mine
Judging by the order number, I assume 1/3rd are still available. Of course, who knows what sizes are left. (XXL here)

Re: Friday Facts #220 - The best Friday Facts ever
Looking at the examples on the FFF page again... Is the first map mode capture an example of automatic mode and the second example manual mode? The second example shows some obvious clicking on the map that isn't present in the first example. It also appears that the shots are fired in volleys of 3 ...

Re: Friday Facts #220 - The best Friday Facts ever
Anyway, I think gun traverse arc needs to be limited to +-30 degrees. It dosn't make sense that train can absorb recoil of huge gun firing broadside It can always have to be forced to be deployed outrigger extensions from the chassis and possibly counterweights. With the proper amount of stabilizat...

Re: Friday Facts #220 - The best Friday Facts ever
Isn't that train slightly OP? I mean, 200+ tiles? That's insanity. That's like tenfold the range of a turret. 200 ??? no, 224 is automatic mode... its range is 560 tiles in manual mode... <<drools>> I'm hoping that the artillery train will be in our 0.16 present. It will be quite useful to clear ou...

Re: Friday Facts #217 - Just another Friday Facts
An interesting suggestion is to to have a dynamic ore generation based on the lowest amount of ore currently present on the map. More iron than copper = higher chance of a copper ore patch to spawn. Stone/uranium/coal might have a modifier to avoid having too much ore spawned. While this is interes...

Re: Friday Facts #217 - Just another Friday Facts
Making sure the starting area is not covered by trees. I've said it before and I'll say it again: If a scenario included crash landing and a debris field, the explosions and resulting fires would make a nice clear area in which to start building, while adding some initial excitement. ;-) Hmm, let m...

Re: Friday Facts #217 - Just another Friday Facts
For overlapping resources, I like the idea of just mixing them in place. An exception for the start area so that you have time to research filter inserters before you need to start separating. On this note, How about adding some type of "filter miner" to the tech tree. Initially, allow you...

I'm probably in the minority here... but can you avoid the transparent windows please; or at least have an option to turn them off.

Re: Friday Facts #173 - Nuclear stuff is almost done
Personally, I agree with the decision to not have meltdowns. As mentioned earlier, modern reactors are not prone to the problems of older ones; they have been redesigned so that in a catastrophic event such as an internal power failure that the passive cooling systems take over and force a cooldown ...

Re: Factorio Roadmap for 0.15 + 0.16
Is that a rocket in your pants pocket or are you just happy to see me? Why yes, it is a rocket... and a flame thrower, rifle, sub-machine gun, 250 rounds of ammo, car, tank, 2 Diesel Locomotives, 5 Solar Panels, 12 Gun Turrets, and a lot of steel pipe... And everyone is debating about how much a che...
