Hmm... so getting rid of these 0.2 millisecond things hardly matters compared to the massive 49 millisecond frame cycle. Good to know. I won't get rid of the mods, then. But dang... Also, I'm baffled if my CPU really is the bottleneck here. My CPU is way more than is necessary for any other game. Actually, on second glance, you don't need to do any research to unlock green chips. Still, I like science things, and it would be cool if there was at least a cheap science for researching flares.

I'm not sure if I've done something wrong, but I just installed this mod, and it enables flare production from the very beginning (even though it requires a green circuit to produce.
It would be much better if flares didn't show up as craftable until you've done some sort of research.

This mod looks like it was a lot of work, and adds a very cool aspect to Factorio. Will you be updating it? Would you be willing to let someone else take over? I'm not offering, as I know nothing about modding Factorio, but it just seems like a shame to let such a cool looking mod go to waste.
