Re: [0.17.46] Compilatron not moving/showing black help text

Yes, in the latest version I gave Compilatron a little more patience. Trying to give the player some time to maybe figure things out for themselves.

Not a bug, but I will keep an eye on it.

Re: NPE bug wave will not stop

Anything else you think you'll need? Do you remember the last quest that was shown in the objective window? Did you activate or deactivate any mods between playing the two sessions of Introduction? Did you change your name in the settings (I see you are called Bart2)? Ive figured out why there are ...

Re: NPE bug wave will not stop

interesting. Something is weird both with the quest progression and with the biter base recovery which was triggered because you cleared the map. Taking a look now.

PS. Thanks for playing so long that you cleared the map. You are in untested territory :D

Re: Friday Facts #298 - Demo upgrade for Stable

I don't get it. Why do you need a 1x1 "quest item consumer"? There are only three real places that things are "consumed" in factorio. Science, military-consumables (Bullets) and Rockets. Increasing the Science costs only takes you so far. In the Introduction I already did that. ...

Re: Friday Facts #298 - Demo upgrade for Stable

Nice feedback, I guess if you put in so much effort Id better do so as well. - Compilatron's dialogs go over the inventory GUI (and everything else for that matter - which can be annoying when it obscures a significant part of the screen). This was later annoying when he would always put his "o...

Just email them to me. The address is in a text file in the script-output/campaign-screenshots directory.

Re: Friday Facts #298 - Demo upgrade for Stable

The "automatic" mining drills placed by compi run out of fuel after less than 30 seconds? Yes, the amount of items that can be moved by the inserters is specifically chosen so that the player needs to reload both the iron drills and the furnaces before they produce 50 plates. This is so w...

Re: Friday Facts #298 - Demo upgrade for Stable

One thing I truly hate about Destroyer capsules and despite them being awesome even pre-balance is the fact that by the time you deploy your max follower count of them - you literally have about a minute before they start exploding. I agree, even Defenders are loads of fun once you auto deploy them...

Re: Friday Facts #298 - Demo upgrade for Stable

As for a replacement, you do not need a "1x1 consumer item" (it will make just as little sense), just have the player gather enough items in his inventory, or insert them with an inserter into a chest. That is precisely what seems to happens in the new verson. You load a "locked ches...

Re: Friday Facts #298 - Demo upgrade for Stable

Wouldn't it be more intuitive to insert directly into the broken structure the same one would insert into a working structure? Not really. Then you would have the confusion from the one structure that changes its state from "you cant open it" to "you can open it". We want to hav...

Re: 0.17.34 Scenario "Arrival" Objective Bug

Currently the Compilatron does not give you very much help in the second half. You should have continued to recieve quests in the top left of the screen. Could you confirm this was the case.

If possible please attach a save game.

(moving to bug forum since this looks like a bug)
