Re: [Mod 0.15] Omnimatter
Hi Zelos. Angel's mods were updated today and I think refining updates broke omni-crystals. I'm not sure why but it seems that when omni-crystal tries to load something the data.raw.recipes table is empty?

Re: [Mod 0.15] Omnimatter
Another minor idea: With omnite overhauls all other resources, we miss liquids mining such oil. What about adding liquid omnite patches? Mine with pumpjacks, retrieve solid omnite through some upgradeable recipes. I too miss the pumpjacks/liquid mining tools. One option might be to make omnium mina...

Re: [Mod 0.15] Omnimatter
To those who care, omnimatter crystals made angels ore sorting facilities redundant, so I made a small mod that makes them required in the crystal pathway. Find it here: https://mods.factorio.com/mods/qwerter96/omnite_fixes

Re: [MOD 0.15] Portal Research (and Asteroid Mining) 0.6.1
Hey nuclear, thanks for the modfix. I was wondering if you could make a setting to allow those who want to make asteroids yield only omnite to do so. in settings.lua just put data:extend({ {name = "offworld-omnite-only", order = "a", type = "bool-setting", setting_type ...

Re: [MOD 0.15] Portal Research (and Asteroid Mining) 0.6.1
How is resource generation on asteroids done, I'd like to use this mod with omnimatter but the asteroids don't generate omnium, giving vanilla ores instead...

I just noticed that fluid splitters were removed in the latest version of PeteroChem. Why is that?

Re: [0.15.x] Bob's Mods: General Discussion
yeap tier 2 gets incresed from 1 tinned and one carbon to 2 of each. at tier 3 mostly plastic goes up the other stuff doesn't matter much any way. How About an additonal tier of electronic assembly between currently tier 1 and 2 with speed of 1.5 and basic electronic boards in the cost? an equivale...

Re: Angel's Smelting Patch
Making copper cables hard to craft removes tinned copper cable from electronics. This makes it impossible to build buildings necessary for blue science which you need to unlock tin smelting 3. I suggest doing the same thing you did for copper cable. IE making a recipe for crafting it in electronics ...

Re: Bugs & FAQ
Minor inconsistency; bob's gas barreling can't be researched because you have disabled all tiers of air compressor research. I would recommend disabling bottled gas processing as well.
Code: Select all
angelsmods.functions.OV.disable_technology({ "gas-canisters"})

Hi Angel, it looks like you either changed the name of an icon in one place but not another, or else forgot to include/make an icon entirely.

Re: Development and Discussion
@nagapito well smelting gives you some tool to spread the load of the most used metals to different ores through the alloying step at the end, where you can mix different ingots to produce an alloy of the main metal. So it's a bit about clever mixing and spreading the load over different ores. Craz...

So, Uses in optics, Maybe some kinda exotic assembly, Or fancy ass laser/energy weapons. Speaking of laser weapons, What about other types of energy weapons? like plasma? I sure wouldn't mind a plasma turret or two. Could have a different range/damage/fire rate tradeoff from laser. Plasma would ris...

Re: Development and Discussion
There's a config option to pick how much of an ore patch should be infinite, but be careful as if you have acid mining for infinite enabled it could be near impossible to get the ore you need.IsZako wrote:Is there a way to generate infinite ore only?

Re: Development and Discussion
Hi Angel, Why did you pick those three ores for uranium crystallization? The current recipe would double up on demand for purified bobmonium and stiratite while leaving demand for purified saphirite and crotinum nil. Is there a reason for that?

@hoho The strand casting machine isnt in yet, so I probably forgot to change the category there, will fix that for the next version. The smelting processes are close to real world counterparts so dont blame me for chemistry stuff :D I fixed the acid mix up for the ore in the next petrochem version....

Re: Bugs & FAQ
Maybe uranium ore should be produced by combining purified ores rather than any of the previous tiers. It would give more incentive to use the full range of ore processing methods, and also limit uranium power to the late-game, which is probably where it should be really. An alternative idea might ...

Re: Bugs & FAQ
I'm not sure if this is a bug, but uranium ore is generated (for reference I'm using RSO, infinite ores, and refining) even though your refining mod allows for generating uranium from the 6 base ones. Is this intentional? Additionally a few fluid values are still off. ore-2, 4, and 5 produce only 5 ...

Re: [0.15.x] Bob's Mods: General Discussion
I think you are all missing my point. Vanilla devs made a decision, that I understand and agree to some length while at the same time thinking that it might had been too much! But, they also gave an option to disable it with mods! If bob changes this on his mods without an option to change it, I di...
