power is used starting with solar, then steam from coal/nuclear, then finally accumulators

Re: Multiplayer Lag
The question that sticks with me is what type of server are you using? You say VPS, sounds like it could be server node congestion, especially with how demanding Factorio is on the RAM and CPU.

Re: Nuclear power start before Kovarex math
Using accumulators along with the reactor itself for energy storage instead of steam has a couple benefits: 1. zero combinator fuel regulation, extract burnt fuel at low charge, insert new fuel on burnt fuel being in the extraction hand, set insertion stack size to 1 2. reduced UPS impact from the f...

Camuamru, if you have a save from an earlier version(before the cliffs started showing), that might help this report.

Re: Seperate train plans from trains
True, you can copy/paste between trains now(not in the gui), but that is of limited use currently due to the fact that they move around. Was not meant to detract from the topic suggestion, just 'thinking out loud'.

if cutting the holes in your wall helps, that sounds like a bug since the biters are supposed to be doing that themselves.

Re: Seperate train plans from trains
I think it could be implemented without too much change to the trains themselves by having a route gui like blueprints, then just paste them onto the train as needed - an extension of the copy/paste functionality, or take it further and have the train periodically update its route from the main list...

Re: [0.16.36] splitter after burner miner - no ore on one belt
the odd part regarding the vector, it should be possible to locate a point that works regardless of rotation since it behaves that way for the electric drill, but it feels like fighting a rounding error since it isn't aligned with the entity center.

Re: [0.16.36] splitter after burner miner - no ore on one belt
was playing around with the output vector in the burner drill file and found that going from -0.5 to -0.6 was enough to fix it for this, but break the reverse, looks like it will require a deeper fix, if at all going to play around a little bit more, might be a small band where it will play nice, th...

sounds like the module slots were full at the time you tried to place them.

Re: [16.28] Items slip on a backed up belt when sideloading
watching it further, it almost looks like the update order of the transport lines is getting jostled since the gaps show up in my test save at the time the fuel that slips through comes back around and crosses to the segment that has the rest of the fuel waiting edit: just reopened the file and noti...

Re: [16.28] Items slip on a backed up belt when sideloading
played around with it a bit, found that the gaps were being generated by the transport line segmenting at the corner like the fuel line in the attachment, without the segmentation at the corner it doesn't get the gaps, the original BP seems to segment the line on the corner quite readily 20180309185...

there is a new concrete texture in the files, still not the type of concrete I would associate with a factory floor. It is still quite visually noisy and roughly installed, but a step above the jagged pavers we have now.

Re: Coal Liquefaction vs Oil?
There are a couple questions to ask, is water close enough to not be a pain? And also will the coal patch outlast the uranium (math time)? If not, then the oil patch gets bonus points.

Re: [0.16.24] Train refueling issue
did some testing in sandbox mode, straight section of track, 2 stations, 1-2-1 train, inserter with fuel. found that if the tail engine was out of fuel upon entering the station without enough time to refuel, it would 'depart' without moving, preventing the inserter from placing fuel in an otherwise...
