[0.17.1] Blueprint Editing

If I right click a blueprint from inventory I can edit it, but if I right click it from the blueprint pane I can't. I'm not sure if this is intentional.

Re: [0.17.1] Stuck in blueprint mode

Blueprints seem to have a few quirks. I thought from FFF details that blueprints would no longer be inventory items when pressing Q while holding a blueprint. It seems that they still are.

Blueprint Suggestion

Blueprints are useful even before flying robots are researched. First it helps plan, and second it guides building. It would be great if it also helped building. The suggestion then is this: if I pick an entity to place && hold down the mouse button && first entity drawn is a bluepri...

time running around putting fuel into burner inserters.
I did that for a bit and then realised that I was mindlessly following the tutorial requirement of researching Logistics, but could very quickly research electric inserters.

[0.17] Blueprint Name Clipped

Blueprint name seems to be cut short even though plenty of space. In the example below there is only one more letter in the name

[Oxyd] [0.17.0] Tech Tree - Scrolling Resets

It seems that if the tech tree is large enough - you cannot scroll upward (right hand side) to see what it above in the tech tree. It repeatedly scrolls back to the bottom. https://i.imgur.com/4gIsNhg.jpg Update: this doesn't happen when no research is running. Presumably screen updates from the mov...

[0.17.0] Map Generator - Absorption Modifier Text

This is the absorption modifier https://i.imgur.com/FMqLpob.png The tooltip says https://i.imgur.com/DkfbcXd.png Put together - this seems to be suggesting that 100% of pollution will be absorbed by trees, which I don't think is the intention. Surely this means 100% of the usual amount of absorpotio...

Re: Friday Facts #262 - Hello my name is: Compilatron

Perhaps if the tutorial had a different look and feel to the empty wasteland of a planet you've crashed into, then the feeling of being alone and in trouble wouldn't be lost. Our player is stranded for sure, but the tech tree he works through is not really one of discovery, but of advancement throug...

Re: Friday Facts #224 - Bots versus belts

Also, as and when changes are made, there's always an option to play on an old stable version as a result of Steam's beta selection capability together with the factorio devs retaining old stable versions on Steam (if I read this right):

Re: Friday Facts #224 - Bots versus belts

How about an achievement for completing without bots and an achievement for completing with bots (which requires a certain percentage of bots to belts that forces you to really learn how to master bots rather than just use them to simplify things?

Re: Lost all save files

Thanks for considering that. I've tested this now specifically, and it looks like Resilio Sync actually keep a backup of all deleted files too. This means every time the game autosaves, you end up with more and more save files in the target backup location, whereas the original Factorio location onl...

Re: Lost all save files

Thanks for the response. Unfortunately, I don't see evidence of any new profile. All other folders within the existing profile are intact, and the only one which lost all its content was the Factorio folder. You assert that Factorio does not ever delete any files; how can you be sure? It seems at le...

Lost all save files

So, I'm a little frustrated now that I didn't have backups of the save files. I just launched the game, running admittedly beta .15.34, and within a second of launching I went into a blue screen (windows 10). After stopping the machine and restarting, then launching Steam, the attempt to launch Fact...
