Re: (0.15.10+) Water and Steam, what's the plan?
Steam can be used by generators to produce power, water cannot. I'm delivering steam to an outpost to power it, no need to string power lines on remote locations now and no need for the outpost to be really big to accommodate the other ways of producing the equivalent power either. I'd rather turn ...

Re: (0.15.10+) Water and Steam, what's the plan?
I dont really understand your problem with this too. It is nice having steam as a seperate entity. It is to be expected that your build could not work anymore in the next version. Having 500Β°C water is a good enough thing to justify adding a new fluid type. WTF?! Are you serious about this or just ...

Re: (0.15.10+) Water and Steam, what's the plan?
Pre-heating heat exchangers with boilers was something that was actually announce as feature in one of the friday facts iirc. Citation needed. All I could find was pre-cooling with turbines -> steam engines -> cooling towers, but that was scrapped when cooling towers were cancelled. Sorry I have no...

Re: Version 0.15.11
That one doesn't include a fuel throttling system, but mine does. Why would you need that many combinators just for a fuel management system? :P To account for everything that can go wrong.(Also space that is filled by combinators was wasted anyway) It checks for 3 conditions before inserting fuel:...

Why would you need that many combinators just for a fuel management system? :P [edit:] Also, I see you just used 4 pumps, do the storage tanks fill up nicely like that? I had to use tons of pumps in my setup to make sure the tanks ar...

Re: (0.15.10+) Water and Steam, what's the plan?
No one put steam into tube or tank and wait it to condense to liquid. In my opinion it would be wasted developing resources to give such an exotic possibilities with little game value. Exotic? Pre-heating heat exchangers with boilers was something that was actually announce as feature in one of the...

Re: (0.15.10+) Water and Steam, what's the plan?
May sound contradicting but it's not because there is a difference in how the devs see the game and there is a difference in how the players see the game, so it's actually opposing oppinions clashing with one another. - What YOU said was contradicting, not necessarily what the devs did. - I actuall...

Re: (0.15.10+) Water and Steam, what's the plan?
Nah. Dev wanted to use steam as a requirement for coal liquification, but the recipy hasn't got the ability to specify fluid temperature, so making that recipy would cause it to appear as water instead of steam to be required. Well that makes sense, but more in a way that the current system lacks a...

Re: (0.15.10+) Water and Steam, what's the plan?
Out of curiosity, in which cases would you want to mix steam and water? For the preheating thing it would also be possible to allow heat exchangers to allow water or steam. Also the same thing in different shapes beeing different items has well established precedents if factorio, see copper and cop...

Re: The perfect OCD compliant power plant! Now 0.15.11 safe
Sorry I did not read through all the pages, just one question: Why would you want such overcomplicated logics and restrictive design with a separte logistics network? Got a simple setup that does the same: - signal ...say "A" when water/steam in storage tanks is below set level (only one d...

Re: Version 0.15.11
Is there actually any intention to fix the Kovarex Enrichment Process messing up the statistics? The 'statistics' actually work, but the ratio/chance thing itself is a bit unrealistic since you can possibly get two or zero items from a cycle, which does not happen anywhere else in the game. I wish ...

Re: Version 0.15.11
Achievements are no longer unlocked by playing multiplayer game in which the player spent less than 50% of time online. I have my doubts about this. I have a headless server running (several weeks now) that is not paused when there are no players on it. Since I've been pretty busy and didn't have a...

Re: (0.15.10+) Water and Steam, what's the plan?
Yeah, I am to wondering what sort of "unanticipated complications" they've encountered to justify this change. Why can't you set the circuit network to just read for water? Heat exchangers are a one-way transit from cold water to hot steam and they don't mix the two unless you deliberatel...

Re: (0.15.10+) Water and Steam, what's the plan?
Read the friday facts, #190. I did beforehand, and I just shook my head. However once 0.15 was released, some complications arose that we had not anticipated. The main issue was that while it looked different in the pipes, when you read the contents of a storage tank, it would tell the circuit netw...

(0.15.10+) Water and Steam, what's the plan?
So, water and steam are now different fluids? Well, first off, they are not different, as it's the same material (H20), and they are not both fluids, except you pressurize the steam again. But wait, if you pressurize steam until it fits into the exact same space as the water it would be at lower hea...

Re: Version 0.15.11
One question:
Did they fix the water/steam not mixing in this release?
I am running 15.9 and I kind of don't want to update any further without that, I read in the comments of 15.10 that steam and water (now separate fluids, WTF?!?!) don't mix up anymore, some things are just...

Re: Anything to modify the UI placement/size?
You can press "L" to view contents of logistics networks, if you have 0.15. There is an option to scale UI size up and down in Options --> Graphics. Thanks for the "L", that should do it yet not perfect, is there anything else planned to fix this? Also: I could scale UI to be sm...

Anything to modify the UI placement/size?
Hello everyone, sorry if this is not the right place, but I guess it will be moved if appropriate. ^^ My problem is, whenever I want to see what I have in my main logistics network, that is, all my storage of materials/items, I can't see much beyond the first few most plentiful things. Because: 1.) ...
