Re: [Request] Mod to teleport items/liquids/energy
I have a bit of a plan to do this, but it might be awhile. I'm planning on creating a teleportation pad and a receiver pad which has a cooldown (probably around 2 minutes on activation), and uses something like 2MW * number of items (items, not stacks) with some kind of distance scalar as well. I'm...

[Request] Mod to teleport items/liquids/energy
I really would like a mod like this. Minecraft modders have made quite a few variants on it, so hopefully someone can replicate the mod content for Factorio. And the mod I'm talking about is one that adds a structure that allows for instant transfer of items and liquids (maybe energy, too) between o...

Re: [MOD 0.12.2+] Evolution | Alien Manipulation
I tried this mod a few months back and IT WAS AWESOME! I would really like to see the dytech biters and especially the mechanical biter. The mechanical biter sounds really, really cool. Anyways, keep up the good work. If there's any way to support you without needing to spend money, I'd be happy to ...

Re: [Request] Recipe Configuration Mod
I hope history doesn't repeat itself here because I really would like to be able to change the recipes where I think it needs it. Thanks for agreeing with me by the way, because I believe that without people to back this idea up, the mod will fail to become recognized/ completed.

[Request] Recipe Configuration Mod
I was looking for a mod that gave the user easy access to their recipes and could not find anything that had it. So I'm hoping for a mod that allows the user to customize both the base mod's recipes as well as the recipes for other mods (I'm hoping for bob's mods especially). For this to work, the m...

[Observation]using the tree's code
I've noticed that there are some people who are struggling with the possibility of machines that destroy pollution. I think that a clever solution would be to base it off of the in-game trees. I'm not entirely sure if that would work so correct me if I'm wrong, but I think it may be the answer that ...

Re: [MOD 0.11.6][WIP] JaxMods
Actually, I just thought of some more ideas for some early game water mechanics: a water tower that soaks up water from the atmosphere (or just makes it appear so by making water slowly accumulate in an internal storage) and can be used later as a low-capacity liquid storage tank as well as an idea ...

Re: [MOD 0.11.6][WIP] JaxMods
Hello, I just saw this post and it's indeed very similar to my idea described in my "greg-tech for factorio" post. The concept is even much improved on what I had in mind. As for the suggested "stone age", I think an example of a machine for that age would be a pulley system to m...

Re: [Request] Greg-Tech for Factorio
The Problem i had with Gretech as for the mod itsself was that it is just counter intuitive! You make the base game harder but then give a totally op device to make it simpler and just make the numbers bigger. In the end all it ended up is to add more grind and tedioum to get to the same point you ...

Re: Easy assembling machine remake?
When you want to do what you're trying to do the fastest (and most reliable) way is to deepcopy the existing data.raw entry and make changes to that. Something like this in your data.lua (or other staged variant): local myAssemblyMachine = util.table.deepcopy(data.raw["assembling-machine"...

Re: Easy assembling machine remake?
Well, the modding tutorial does seem to cover the basic structure of the code, but it didn't quite tell me how to make structures. But at least now I have some knowledge on the language. So, is there any help about how to remake the assembling machine?

Re: Easy assembling machine remake?
What sticky thread? Sorry if the answer is obvious, but I can't tell what the difference is (unless you are referring to the one about mod help references, in which case, I looked at the wiki pages that were linked and it was too confusing for me.)

Easy assembling machine remake?
I'm having trouble understanding this coding language. I want to be able to make a clone of the vanilla assembling machine with only a change in the recipe category set that it uses. I have a somewhat basic understanding of java code, but it doesn't seem to help when I'm reading the wiki or looking ...

Re: [Request] Greg-Tech for Factorio
Is better if you can show some images and links, if can show what you want. I don't know about this mod, but I think it can have a result not expected What I'm looking for is something along the lines of machines that specialize in certain types of recipes (for example a wiremill: a machine like th...

Re: [Request] Greg-Tech for Factorio
You don't have to use such a mod if you don't want to. Also, I would prefer if people would keep this thread relatively polite. I know that most people strongly dislike greg-tech and that most threads for minecraft pertaining to greg-tech have been cluttered with messages of hate (maybe hate is too ...

Re: [Request] Greg-Tech for Factorio
I have tried and enjoyed bob's mods, but it isn't quite as complex as I would like. I'm looking for something even bigger.

[Request] Greg-Tech for Factorio
I would really like it if someone would dedicate themselves to making crafting recipes much more in depth and separate out the uses of the assembling machines to a variety of more specialized machines much like greg-tech did for minecraft in 1.6.4 particularly. I personally loved greg-tech for 1.6.4...
