Re: What is most UPS unfriendly in Factorio?

Well. No/yes/maybe. Depends on the layout and the length of those pipes. That number of trains for water alone will cause significant repathing, and you also need to fill/empty the wagons, which is 2 more interactions than a straight pipe into the reactor (though they're not inventories so not as b...

Re: What is most UPS unfriendly in Factorio?

: Jap2.0 I'll try to take some shots tomorrow. About power production, yes. Only producing 10K beakers ( fully beaconed) will take about 35GW. And there are roboports, those will be counted in tens of thousands probably.. And there are laser turrets.. also tens of thousands to provide a perimeter to...

What is most UPS unfriendly in Factorio?

Well.. my laptop definitely isn't high end.. So, when I'm designing mega factory I have to look not only for best factory performance but mostly about best computer performance. I have a concept of a 10k beakers/min factory that im trying to implement, however im concerned about an impact on my UPS ...

Re: Lazy bot syndrome. Bug or feature?

Obviously it is not a bug but a very annoing feature. Simple solution would be if personal bots gets their jobs assigned either if inside your backpack or charging. And only in those situations.

Re: [0.16.27] Requesting from buffer chests gives chest supply priority

that's working as intended.
Well in this case, it would be great if a reqester had another option: Request ONLY from buffer chest.
It would solve not only this problem but also a logistic loops in some cases.

Re: Lego Diesel Locomotive! (Motor + LED)

If minecraft can have its own sets (I have couple of them), factorio deserve them too. Just not so obvious "system" sets with a player, biter and a shotgun. Some more sophisticated stuff like Op's loco, same scale assembler, a silo. Would be nice. I have to sneak to my sons room and grab s...

Re: Conditional Safe Rail Crossing

Thanks for responses but this yellow light trick just doesnt work like I want it to work. I want a player gate to be always closed if there is an incoming train but to be open if train has stopped on a chain signal before a gate. I thought, that maybe i could use something like this: train.jpg But n...

Conditional Safe Rail Crossing

Hail factorians! I have quite big base with lots of trains and lots of rails. Since i get smashed by runnig train almost daily, i've made some safe crossings across my base. ;) train.jpg Pedestrian gates are connected to rail signals and set to open if Green =1 Train gates are connected to same sign...

I hope it is a bug not a feature. Requester with 'request from buffer..' have priority over other requesters. If a demand is greater that current stock, requesters with this option enabled will be satisfied first.

Re: Friday Facts #225 - Bots versus belts (part 2)

Nerfing bots is a stepback. Yet, you should boost belts but especially inserters. 90Β° is a must. Also, maybe add a sockets in assemblers that allows placing an inserter 'inside' of an assembler, thus making possible to feed assembler from a belt touching it.
