So cube, I see you're using Awesome as well?
Love the tech-talk. It made me realize how little I know about non-cryptographic hash functions.

Re: Friday Facts #110 - Tech art finished
I'm still wondering how the technology icons will look in game. They look bloody awesome in the large view in the FFF post, but in game they will become much smaller sprites (I assume). So I'm not sure if all the amazing detail will still be visible or if maybe the tiny resolution will instead make ...

That's a cool photo. You managed to make a whole bunch of people look reasonably photogenic. x)

I like the way you are doing things. Keeping Steam optional. Keeping things open. Maintaining your own infrastructure. You mentioned other factory-style games. I recently started playing TerraTech which is another awesome little building game. It's probably more different than the other games you me...

I love that you're doing an official mod portal!
Question is: Do you plan on making it (or parts of it) open source and if so, is it going to be not RoR?

It's my impression that those icons are meant only for the Tech Tre, and not to be used to represent the physical items. Ah, that makes more sense! :D Why are you attributing that quote to yourself, and not to me, when I was the one who wrote it? I did it entirely in order to spite you and totally ...

Hey, I'm a real person! And if I ever meet you I'm totally going to ask you to release the next version right there from your phone. As for the political debate, I agree the dev blog isn't the right place. Comments like “stolen from other people through taxes” make you sound really naive, like you a...

Re: How will my laptop fare late-game?
Your specs look decent enough, so there should be nothing to be concerned about. If the game runs fine now there shouldn't be much of a difference later. The recent optimizations have been particularly good for large factories.

Re: FFF #100 - So old
Congratulations! I only started reading at around #60 and I have come to love and enjoy the weekly updates and the roughly correct English. :D The Icons look awesome. I'm a little sad for the colourful circuit icons though, I always liked the saturated green, red and blue lines in my factory. After ...

Re: Piercing rounds recipe should include regular rounds
I think OP's main point isn't realism but rather that he wants to set up a more “interesting” production chain. Basically the production of armor piercing amo would be more complicated than simple raw materials, but have the advantage that regular amo that already exists doesn't go to waste. In my o...

Re: Bot central
Getting back to the topic at hand, I could see some use (“game value”) in being able to control a little better where bots are stored. Not so much by creating a bigger roboport, bur rather by assigning individual roboports something like a priority or a minimum amount of bots that should be “assigne...
